EZEKIEL’S FIRE by John Little DEBUNKED

Scriptural examples of John Little’s Ezekiel’s Fire are:  Ezekiel 39:6; Isaiah 30:26; Zechariah 12:4.  It will be shown these verses are taken out of context and do not describe a pre-70^th week of Daniel electromagnetic pulse from the sun, but are all part of the wrath of God judgments occurring at the end of the 70^th week.

EZEKIEL 39:6

This is an example of taking a verse out of context.  I have recently written on Ezekiel 38 and 39 (not just one verse out of context) and came to the conclusion that both chapters are dealing with the wrath of God just prior to the beginning of the Millennium.  Many of the Ezekiel events align with the trumpet (and other) judgments.

Full details can be found at those links.  Regardless, it is not an anytime fear-mongering electromagnetic pulse event that will destroy the USA; Maybe at the end of the 70^th week of Daniel is a possibility.

Ezekiel 39:6 KJV  And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

ISAIAH 30:26

Isaiah 30:23-26 KJV  Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.  (24)  The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.  (25)  And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.  (26)  Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

In Is 30: 1-17, Isaiah is delivering prophecy concerning the coming invasion of Assyria and Israel’ desire to flee to Egypt.  God then tells the Israelites if they will adhere to the covenants of Abraham and Moses and dispose of their idols, He will take care of them and they will receive blessings.  These blessings are outlined in verses 23-26:  plenty of rain with abundant crops; well-fed cattle; clean provender; streams of water; and plenty of light both night and day.

Verse 26 is not an eruption of the sun causing an electromagnetic pulse burning up the ground as in an Ezekiel’s fire scenario.  It is an act of God, “binding up the breach of his people, and healing the stroke of their wound.”

ZECHARIAH 12:4

And then, this became clear:

In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. – Zechariah 12:4

We’ve never seen a solar flare as big as Ezekiel’s Fire, but we’ve seen what an EMP would do. And, if your car (aka, horse) is within range of an EMP weapon when it explodes… well …that horse (car) will go blind.

Most people who have read or studied Zechariah should be aware that chapters 12-14 generally refer to the 70^th week of Daniel.  Zachariah 12 is referring to the wrath of God that occurs just prior to the Millennium.  As a matter of fact, all the single verse references given are sections of the wrath of God.  Whether these events are caused by an EMP or a closely passing cosmic body is debatable

ISAIAH 30:30

Isaiah 30:30-31 KJV  And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.  (31)  For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.

Another example is Isaiah 30:30.  Verse 31 is added to show the purpose of verse 30.  This destruction of the Assyrian army is actually found written in 2Kings.  Below is an extract from the Guzik Commentary.

As it happened, this was exactly the case. 2Kings 19:35 describes how God simply sent the angel of the LORD, and killed 185,000 Assyrians in one night. When the people woke up, there were 185,000 dead Assyrian soldiers.

Note the addition of “hailstones” which should not be an attribute of an EMP.

Other scriptural examples are given, but they are all similar and I’m beginning to feel as if I am repeating myself.

A solar flare as strong as Ezekiel’s Fire would certainly cause the bow (missile launcher) to fall out of your left hand and the arrows (missiles) out of your right.

This comment appears to be using the Hal Lindsey technique of adding modern words and modern military gear to the Old Testament.  If may delight the heathen’s imagination and interest level; leverage many post hits; get your picture in the BIN gallery; create end-times confusion in others; but serves no honest truth.

Because Israel MUST be saved…    …BEFORE the TRIBULATION!!

There is no scriptural proof for this statement; and the reason is simple – because there is no scriptural proof.

You can twist any one of these verses that I’ve shown you, and make it – and them – say something else. But, you cannot do that, when you look at them together.

And that is exactly what John Little has done.  It is not looking at them together that make it different; it is taking the scriptures out of context and having them say what they were not intended to say.

God Cleanses Israel AFTER They Return

I’m going to shock you with this answer, so I hope that you’re sitting down. Here’s the answer:  God said that He would cleanse the People of Israel, AFTER they entered the Land of Israel.

Let’s actually look at what the Bible says. Here is what God said through the prophet

Ezekiel:  36:24-25

For I will take you from among the heathen (nations, Gentiles), and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. –

God does not cleanse an unbelieving Israeli against their will, or anyone else for that matter.  These people have obviously come to view Jesus Christ as the true Messiah of Israel and the Savior of mankind (just like everyone since the resurrection of Christ).  No one is above the will and plan of God.  The New Covenant is the one that supersedes the Abrahamic and Mosaic covenants.  No one enters the Kingdom of God by any other means than Jesus Christ.  There are no special people.

John 14:6 KJV  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

There is also no mention of them being cleansed “AFTER they entered the Land of Israel.”  Anyone with half a brain can read the Revelation and concur they are not cleansed until after the return of Christ and they witness the power and glory of Jesus.  Actually the remnant that escapes immediately after the abomination of desolation is set up has already witnessed the authority of the New Covenant.

Jesus fulfilled all the law.  Nailed to the cross, when all things had been fulfilled through being given vinegar on a hyssop stick, He said, “It is finished.”

Matthew 5:17-18 KJV  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  (18)  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.  (Luke 24:44 KJV)

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.  (John 5:46 KJV)

The next two verses were omitted from Little’s thesis.  In them one can see they will be members of the New Covenant with a new heart; a new spirit, and with the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 KJV  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.  (27)  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
