Ocean temperatures don’t force the climate, only solar activity can do that. The record colds are beating the record highs, but they are only giving you the record highs. You have to be more objective than that. There is no record solar radiation, the sun is going to sleep with the lowest activity in c400 years. Hence they are forecasting a c300 year long mini ice age.

Absolutely, but not for hundreds of years. The Pinatubo volcanic eruption created the year without a summer 1816, ’1800 and froze to death’, not the entire mini ice age. It was adding insult to injury seeing as we were already in a mini ice age. The sun is doing exactly what it did just prior to the last mini ice age, shutting down. Ice age is in fact the predominate climate for the past c30 million years, interspersed every c100’000 years with c15’000 year warmer interglacial periods, such as the one we are now in that is c15’000 years old. So if we are very unlucky it’s the end of the warmer interglacial period and back to full on ice age time. We’ll have to wait another c100’000 years for the next warm period.
