What’s the Next Big Prophetic Event to Happen According to the Bible ?

Some say it’s the rapture of the church. Others say it’s revelation of the Antichrist. Some believers expect a peace treaty between Israel and surrounding Arab nations. But what does Bible really say about this?

Let’s have a look! God’s word is the authority.

I have always been fascinated by End time prophecies. The book of revelation says that the Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of Prophecy. So we should give that respect to Bible prophecy. Jesus wants his church to know everything the Bible has to say. EVERYTHING. Not just the Gospel. In fact all prophecies in the Bible are ultimately about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was blown away when I realised the fact that almost 30 % of Bible consists of Prophecies, both fulfilled and unfulfilled. Let’s return to the topic.

We believers know the truth that the return of our Lord is near. But the church is still sleeping. Many of the so called Christians aren’t even bothered about the Return of Jesus and it is really a sad thing. When we study about the first century Church, that eschatological urgency could be seen in their lives. They expected the Lord’s return in their life time. That prompted them to gave their lives for faith in Yeshua.

I believe that we are living in the last days. We are going to see Jesus coming with the clouds of heaven. What a glorious event that will be ! HALLELUJAH !

In the book of Daniel chapter 8 we see a vision God gave to him during the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar.

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai. 

Here while Daniel was in Shushan which is in the province of Elam (Modern day Iran) he saw a Ram having two horns. One was higher that the other. Higher one came up last.

The Ram pushed westward, southward and northward and no animal could withstand him. The Ram did according to his will and it became great.

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.  And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.  And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. 

Daniel 8:5-7 KJV

Suddenly Daniel was shown a Male Goat coming from west. It rushed so fast towards the Ram without touching the ground. Goat had only one horn compared to Ram which had two. The Goat attacked the Ram with furious power. It broke the two horns of Ram and trampled him to the ground. No one could rescue the Ram from the Goat.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.  And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.  And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. 

Daniel 8:8-10 KJV

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.  And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Daniel 8:11-12 KJV

He exalted himself and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away. This little horn has an army by which he will accomplish this. He cast truth to the ground and he prospered.

This is the summary of vision Daniel saw. What’s the meaning of this? Thankfully God has the meaning for this in the same chapter.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.  Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.  And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. 

Daniel 8:17-19 KJV

The first thing Gabriel told Daniel was that the vision is for the “time of the end”. This will be fulfilled in the “latter time of the indignation”.

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

Daniel 8- 19,20.

So we now have the understanding of what really Ram and Goat indicate . Ram with two horns are Kings of Media and Persia  (Modern day Iran) and the Goat is the King of Greece (Yavan, which is modern day Turkey, not the Greece of today). The Great Horn between the eyes of Goat is the first King (Leader).

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Here that Great Horn of Goat is “broken” and in its place four new horns came up. But it won’t have the same power. After this out of one of this region, a ” King of fierce countenance ” will come. He understands ” dark sentences “. His power will be unprecedented. Its Satan himself who will be giving power to this king. He shall destroy wonderfully. In other words, He will be a man of destruction. He will destroy mighty and “Holy people”.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 8:25-

So Daniel 8 war is NOT a past event. It will be fulfilled very soon. This war which culminates in a Turkish victory over Iran will mark the arrival of the Antichrist.

In Short,

1. Iran will attack nations West, North and south and no power will be able to stop them UNTIL Turkey counter attacks.

2. Turkey will come without touching the ground (using their airforce?) and defeats Iran. Iran won’t be able to stand against Turkey as it’s the second biggest military force in NATO after US.

3. Turkey becomes very great (could be because of the praises of the world for saving the region from Iranian aggression?)

4. At the height of their victory, the King or leader who will lead the attack will be either thrown out of power or killed. Bible says that the horn is “broken”.

5. Then the region (ancient assyria) will be divided into 4 parts, out of which the Antichrist arises.

6. This little horn or antichrist will destroy many by peace( How many times you have heard that Islam means peace ?). He will be Islamic without a doubt.

So what we really need to watch is the coming Iranian- Turkish war. This war will bring the Antichrist on to the world stage. We need to watch and Pray as Jesus commanded. Mark Davidson in his book ” Daniel Revisited ” has written extensively on this subject. I recommend everyone of you to read that book.
