Actually, he is quite right. There is a comet swarm that generated a series of five impact events that started about 12,885 b2k years ago. This one initiating the Younger Dryas cold period is very well known. The same comet swarm struck again circa 2809 b2k. These meteorites were from the fourth cluster of this swarm. These are stoney like objects and throw Earth into an ice age.

A comet is going to impact within 20 years you say. Plenty of time to get out a few more books on the subject then. Of course there are going to be experts that believe his ‘theory’. I can theorise that a cure for cancer will be found within 10 years and I can find numerous experts that will agree with that theory – doesn’t mean that I’m basing the theory on anything more than a guess and it certainly doesn’t mean I have the expertise to understand cell biology, virology or pharmacology and base my theory on a deep understanding of the subject.
It’s a broad statement designed to selfishly profit.

I agree that cataclysmic destruction of civilization due to natural causes comes in periodic, predictable cycles.

It’s a book promotion, stupid. There are no large space objects that can hit Earth, not for the next 100 years at least. Stupid.
At least he left his end of the world scenario open, and in a 20 year span. Plenty of time to write a few more books and keep people hooked.

Of course, they will just never mention it again, and pick some new dates based off some YouTubers dream, and it’ll be back to watching the clock for the next date.
