Look.
Anyone can say that Pope Francis is the “false prophet” referred to in Chapter 16, verse 13 of the Revelation of John.
Anyone.
In fact, there are probably hundreds, if not thousands of people on the Internet who have made precisely such a trivial accusation over the past few years.
But, unless the person making such an assertion also understands that “the resurrection” was taught by Isaiah, Daniel, Jesus & Mohammed as a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’, it is a fundamentally meaningless statement of NO Prophetic significance whatsoever.
The first meaning of the term “false prophet” in the Revelation of John is as a reference to the monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam because of, specifically, their denial that “the resurrection” is a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’.
In other words, the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious officials all attempt to Prophesy what happens to people after they die; all of them saying, in one way or another, that, in an after-death metaphysical or quasi-metaphysical existence (that is, the kingdom of the ‘god of the dead’), people will receive either the rewards or the punishments which they should have received during life (the kingdom of the God of the living).
But that, quite simply, is a bald-faced LIE.
What happens immediately after death is described in some detail in the Tibetan Book of the Dead, in which mention is made of the “vision of the peaceful deities” and the “vision of the wrathful deities”; after which, the person lives another life; and then another and another.
And, while Hindu and Buddhist doctrine, for example, may very well be inaccurate or erroneous with regards to the details of, or the mechanisms involved in the living more than one life, they cannot be considered as “false prophet” religions inasmuch as they do acknowledge the reality of previous and future lives.
In other words, the “false prophet” religions are exclusively the monotheistic religions.
But there is another problem:
Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious officials have dozens of other doctrines and bizarre beliefs concerning the arrival, the proofs, and the responsibilities of either the ‘messiah’ or the ‘mahdi’; or about ‘Jesus riding a white horse out of the sky’, the ‘Rapture’, the ‘Tribulation’, the ‘anti-Christ’, the ‘false prophet’, etc. etc. etc.; all of which are at least fundamentally flawed, if not floridly delusional.
Thus, the monotheistic religions are the “false prophet” because they are wrong about what happens after death; while they are also wrong about how the Prophecies will be fulfilled in the space-time reality.
They claim to be ‘prophets’ of the after-life as well as ‘prophets’ with Knowledge of the fulfillment of the Prophecies.
And, in both instances, they are LIARS.
That Pope Francis may very well be the personal manifestation of the “false prophet” is, however, a completely separate issue.
