HOW DO WE KNOW THE BIBLE IS TRUE?

By Rob Breaker

The following video gives three amazing points that prove that the Bible is indeed TRUE, and is what it claims to be: the very words of the Living God, the Creator.   It also shows that the Bible is not only a book of past history, but also of future history, as it is a book of PROPHECY!  It not only fortold the coming of Jesus Christ, but also fortells many prophecies of His soon return in the future!  It also tells of many things that will happen in the last days, and it’s amazing that current events taking place in the world today all point to the prophecies of the scriptures as events that WILL TAKE PLACE SHORTLY!

Enjoy the video, and the evidence that proves the Bible is True…

      Bible aloners … very, very, very bad news … *THE BIBLE* says that it is not the authority on Faith … it says the CHURCH is.

      You see, the “bible aloners” have it backwards … the Bible is one of the writings of … THE CHURCH.

      Much more like the below > > http://www.Gods-Christian-Dogma.com/section_6.html

      Catholic writing of 1 Timothy 3:15 >
      “The house of God, which is **the Church** of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

      Catholic writing of Ephesians 3:10 >
      “That the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through **the Church**.”

      Etc, etc, etc

      The Catholic Church defined the New Testament Canon … at the Council of Carthage in 397 A.D. … and all the heretic groups of the world … believe that definition (of the list of Books).

      Nowhere in the Bible … does the Bible provide the list of Books that should be in the Bible.

      So that … the Canonical list of Books **must** have been defined by an **outside-of-the-Bible** authority (pretty simple) … that authority was (and is) the Catholic Church.

      - – - – - – - – - -

      C A U T I O N: The Catholic Church has had *zero* … physical properties, priests, and bishops since 8 December 1965 … because of the Sources of Dogma on automatic excommunication for heresy.

        Mike;
        No, the inspired word of God does NOT say the “church” is the authority on faith. That is an outright lie saying it does. In fact, the scriptures teach AGAINST churches and religions of man. It says they are “works of the flesh” and that they are false. Jesus even said about a sect, that he hates it. God compared sects of religon to the whore of Babylon. Take sects and denominations of Christendom. They claim to be Christian, but they are not. They claim to teach the scriptures, but they don’t. If they did, they would be eliminating themselves, as the scriptures warn all to “flee from her”, meaning the whore of Babylon, sects and all other false religions. The first religion of Christendom is the Catholic Church, begun in 325 a.d. by a pagan emperor who mixed PAGAN and Christian beliefs together. All sects/denominations of Christendom still incorporate pagan beliefs such as immortal soul, hell fire, purgatory, idolatry (cross, statues, medals, rosaries, etc.) and many many pagan rituals. They all consort with governments and industry, bless troops, accept immorality like homosexuality and sex outside of marriage. None teach us to imitate Jesus and his Father, and none teach us to live our lives as God and Jesus taught. Revelation speaks of their extermination. The original texts comprising the scriptures NEVER used a word that translates into church or cross or ghost. Not once. Then take the pagan trinity of gods belief. That is strictly pagan, as they always worshiped triads of make believe gods. The trinity in Christendom is also make believe, as God the Father is not His own son, and His son is not Him, and holy spirit is not a person, but a force of God.

          And on this rock you willl build my Church

          And in Savages temple you will immediately begin to burn it down.

          • MikeSavage

            DamnEl;
            Matthew 16:18 when taken literally word for word from the Koine text, translated word for word in English reads: and I but to you am saying that you are Peter, and upon this the rock-mass, I will build of me the congregation, and gates of Hades not will overpower it;

            So, you see, the original text says congregation, NOT church. KJV and DR and most other English translations CHANGED it to church, when the word ecclesia does not mean church, but prople/congregation. So your point is not valid.

            • HereAmI

              Church is derived from the root word “ecclesia”; which is a called-out body, a living Temple, the bride of Christ.
              This body is invested with a new spirit; the spirit of Christ, which He got from His Father.
              So Christianity is not a monotheistic religion, as we hear so frequently, but a Duality; the Father, and the Word, Who was incarnated as the Son.
              The Son, although co-equal with the Father, and having all things given into His power, is in some strange way a lesser Being than the Father; He Himself states this very clearly.
              “The Father is greater than I”.
              One day, we will fully understand these things; at present, we see as through a glass, darkly.,

          • MikeSavage

            DamEl;
            You could at least accurately quote the scripture you are pretending to quote.

        • Mike

          Mike – God thinks there’s a Church … the word Church is in the Catholic authored New Testament … 77 times.

          Why do *you* disagree with God … by saying above … “the scriptures teach AGAINST churches” ?

          Are you smarter than the Catholic God ? Why are you saying *the OPPOSITE* of God ?

          Catholic writing in Acts of the Apostles 13:1 >
          “Now there were in the Church which was at Antioch, prophets and doctors, among whom was Barnabas, and Simon.”

          Catholic writing in Acts of the Apostles 20:28 >

            Mike says — with monotonous regularity — that since 8 December 1965 the Catholic Church has had “zero” priests and bishops.

            Mike appears to be a traditionalist who uses dogma to undermine and subvert the divinely-instituted spiritual authority of the Holy See.

            In other words, Mike is a wolf in sheep’s clothing trying to overturn what God set in place. Guess what, Mike. You’re doomed to fail.

            • Damien

              You’re a sedevacantist too you schizo loon.

            • MikeSavage

              Louis;
              There doesn’t exist a divinely-instituted spiritual authority of the Holy See. Believe me that God abhors the Holy See. It is pagan and false religion. It is the first church of Christendom, Babylon the Great’s largest part.

          • Amminadab

            The Bible does not contain all the teaching of the Christian religion, nor does it formulate all the duties of its members.” The Faith of Millions, pp. 153-154
            “Now the Scriptures alone do not contain all the truths which a Christian is bound to believe, nor do they explicitly enjoin all the duties which he is obliged to practice.” The Faith of Our Fathers, p. 72
            “Can you learn to save your soul just by reading the Bible? No…because the Bible does not have everything God taught.” A Catechism for Adults, Q. 1, p. 52

            The Roman Church cunningly declares the Word of God is unable to educate the Christian regarding his or her lifestyle. The Vatican also claims the Scriptures are completely unable to direct the lost unto Salvation. However, the Word of God says quite clearly…

            2 Timothy 3:15 – “For from thy infancy thou hast known the Sacred Writings, which are able to instruct thee unto salvation by the faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

            So why is it the Vatican is declaring the exact opposite? It appears rather plain that the Scriptures are quite able to do that which the Vatican says it cannot. Fact is folks, if you investigate the methods of Satan you will see he ALWAYS twists that which the Lord says. In the Garden of Eden he twisted the Lord’s Words to make it appear He lied regarding the end result of sin. He also did the same thing in the desert when he tried to tempt our dear Lord. Evidently the Scriptures do just fine in leading people to the salvation according to Timothy. In fact, that verse openly points to the Vatican and shouts in thunderous tones, YOU ARE A LIAR! It can’t be said any plainer then that.

            As for educating the soul in all aspects of life, we have 2 Tim. 3:16-17 as a standard of fact. It says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproving, for correcting, for instruction in justice, that the man of God may be perfect, equipped for every good work.”

            The Scriptures are declaring that they are THE All-Sufficient Authority in fully equipping the child of God. By the way, an interesting tid bit that will surely quench attacks regarding “New Testament Epistles” that are always popping up regarding Paul’s writings. Did you know that Paul’s Epistles are actually defined as “Scripture” by Peter the Apostle?

            2 Peter 3:15-16, “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”

            So, the Bible is the Sole Authority, the Sole Guide, and the ONLY method by which the child of God can learn to understand that which all Christians need to learn. Yes, many things are taught first hand by the Holy Spirit, however, more often than not we have a tendency to learn better if we read it as well. And the Holy Spirit always teaches that which can be confirmed in the Word as Truth. Isaiah plainly says if they speak not “according to this Word,” then they are preaching things of darkness. (See Isaiah 8:20)

            • BEEF SUPREME

              Yeah, what the hell, Louis.

              BEEF SUPREME has spoken WAY more anti Catholic things than Amminadab has. Over six years time, no less. Amminadab hasn’t even been here for two years yet.

              Credit where it’s due, Papist.

          • MikeSavage

            Mike;
            The Catholic authored New Testament is not a valid translation. In every instance where that Bible put “church”, the Koine word ecclesia appears in the original texts on many manuscripts, not a word that can be translated into church. Ecclesia means people/congregation depending upon the context.

            • HereAmI

              Absolutely not.
              Ecclesia means very specifically a called-out body, which makes total sense to those of us called out of this present evil world, where, like Abraham, we are strangers and pilgrims.

            • Louis

              BEEF SUPREME — “BS” for short — Yes, you’ve been blaspheming against everything that’s holy — and stoking your future furnace home — much longer than Amminadad.

              But by sheer quantity of words, Amminadab has got you beat by a mile. Amminadab’s posts are not only unreadably long, but they come in locust-like swarms. Since when have you ever matched that?

              It’s only in the area of being consistently insipid that you can claim equal par with Amminadab. But that’s not much of a claim to fame.

            • MikeSavage

              HereAmI;
              No, it means people or congregation. Your definition as you posted is from theologians and religions, not from an accurate translation of the original language.

          • MikeSavage

            Mike;
            The Catholic authored New Testament is not an accurate translation of the inspired word of God. It is filled with words deliberately falsely translated into incorrect renderings in English. It adds things, removes things, and misleads the reader. All deliberately. So your Catholic New Testament is useless. Of course it has the word “church” in it 77 times, it’s a CATHOLIC translation. The lyingly say they are a church begun by Jesus. Jesus had been physically dead for just under 300 years when the Catholic Church began. Mike, the scriptures warn us to “flee” from religions that are apostate. The name given them in Revelation is Babylon the Great, and the Whore of Babylon. Galations says they’re works of the flesh. The Catholic Church is the very first one of them. The first religion of Christendom, the half pagan, half Christian religion created BY A PAGAN.

      • MikeSavage

        Rob;
        The Bible is proof of itself being “true”. All prophecy, except that which is still future, has happened exactly as advertised. All principles in the scriptures work exactly as advertised. Everything God or Jesus said would cause God to bless us, always does cause such blessings. It’s the most precise source of science, medicine, hygeine, and interpersonal relations advice ever. The trouble is, that almost all translations are falsely translated. Many changes have been made by men. God’s personal name has been removed, hades and sheol have been changed to hell in most of their instances, spirit has been changed to ghost, and congregation has been changed to church. Many other rediculous changes were made to the scriptures, but you get the point.

      • Amminadab

        The belief in the Bible as the sole source of faith is unhistorical, illogical, fatal to the virtue of faith, and destructive of unity.” -The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume XIII, “Protestantism”, Section III A – Sola Scriptura (“Bible Alone”), Nihil Obstat, February 1, 1912 by Remy Lafort, D.D., Censor, Imprimatur. +John Cardinal Farley, Archbishop of New York. (online source: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12495a.htm )

        “Unfortunately many of these books were lost during the persecution of the 17th century, and only those books and ancient documents sent to the libraries of Cambridge and Geneva by Pastor Leger were perserved. The Papists took care, after every persecution, to destroy as much of the Waldensean literature as possible. Many of the Barbes were learned men and well versed in the languages and science of the Scriptures. A knowledge of the Bible was the distinctive feature of the ancient, and now the modern Vaudois. Deprived for centuries of a visible church and forced to worship in caves and dens, this intimate knowledge of God’s word was their only light. Their school was in the almost inaccessible solitude of the deep mountain gorge called ‘Pra Del Tor’, and their studies were severe and long-continued, embracing the Latin, Romaunt and Italian languages.”-Bompiani – A Short History of the Italian Waldenses

        Their refusal to surrender the scriptures was an offense that the Papacy could not tolerate. The Papacy was determined to exterminate the heretics from the face of the Earth. The heretics greatest offense, was that they refused to worship God according to the will of the Pope. For this crime, the heretics suffered every humiliation, insult and torture that man could event: ( Fox’s Book Of Martyrs)

        1) Hanged and their genitals were cut off
        2) The mothers were whipped
        3) The women’s breast were ripped off
        4) They were tied up and fried in a large pan
        5) Their mouths were sewed shut
        6) They were placed into a pot of boiling water
        7) Their arms and legs were cut off
        8) Some had their eyes bored out

        (Rev.) Dr. Cahill declared that “he would rather the Catholic should read the worst books of immorality than the Protestant Bible-that forgery of God’s Word, that slander of Christ.” – (Roman Catholic Tablet, December 17, 1853, p. 804).

        “Do you allow your flock to read the Bible at all?” said a writer in the Contemporary Review to a friend of his, a parish priest. “No, sir, I do not; you forget that I am a physician, not a poisoner of souls.” -Contemporary Review April, 1894, p. 576.

        The decree set forth in the year 1229 A.D. by the Council of Valencia… places Bible on The Index of Forbidden Books. The doctrine withholds “it is forbidden for laymen (common man) to read the Old and New Testaments. – We forbid them most severely to have the above books in the popular vernacular.” “The lords of the districts shall carefully seek out the heretics in dwellings, hovels, and forests, and even their underground retreats shall be entirely wiped out.” Council Tolosanum, Pope Gregory IX, Anno. Chr. 1229

        The church Council of Tarragona ruled that: “No one may possess the books of the Old and New Testaments in the Romance language, and if anyone possesses them he must turn them over to the local bishop within eight days after the promulgation of this decree, so they may be burned.” D. “The Bible was not intended to be a textbook of Christian religion.” -Catholic Facts, p. 50

        The Catholic church declares the Bible not a textbook for the Christian faith? I do believe the following verses have proven the Roman Catholic church has been caught red handed telling bold face lies. This not only proves they lied, it also exposes WHY they preach the Bible is “…a dead and speechless book.” They hope to keep the masses out of the Bible mainly because once they open one, they realize who the liar truly is.

        The Bible declares it teaches…

      The doctrines of the Catholic Church are entirely independent of Holy Scripture.” Familiar Explanation of Catholic Doctrine, by Rev. M. Muller, p.151

      This is the main reason the Roman Catholic church hates any mention of the theological standpoint of “Sola Scriptura.” Their campaign against it for so many years is now completely uncovered by merely peering into the church’s own teachings. They do NOT want to adhere to biblical jurisprudence simply because to do so would entail shutting down almost 90% of the churches teachings and doctrines! And according to their own “Rev. M. Muller”, it would mean a 100% shut down! Fact is they MUST fight this notion of Sola Scriptura simply because it is their enemy! Hence, their enemy is Christ! Because it is plainly written that Jesus is the Word made flesh that dwelt among us according to John 1:14.

      As for all the claims the Catholic church makes regarding their argument that “Sola Scriptura” is not biblical. How does one explain the following passages that expose their lies point by point? And by the way, these are points I shared a moment ago from authenticated Roman Catholic statements.

      They said the Bible doesn’t record all necessary things which Jesus did.

      Acts 1:1-2 says, “The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:”

      They said Scripture doesn’t contain the certainty of Christ’s actions and teachings.

      Luke 1:3-4 says, “It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.”

      They say Scriptures cannot teach us to believe in the name of Jesus.

      John 20:30-31 says, “And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

      They say Scriptures cannot give instructions to salvation.

      2 Timothy 3:15 says, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

      They say the commands of the Lord are not found in His Word.

      1 Corinthians 14:37 says, “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”

      They say proper conduct is nowhere emphasized within the Word of God.

      1 Timothy 3:14-15 says, “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

      They say every good work is not found in His Word.

      2 Timothy 3:15-16 says, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

      They say the Word cannot tell us how to be protected against sin.

      1 John 2:1 says, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”

      They say we cannot have assurance of eternal life.

      1 John 5:13 says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

      They say the Scriptures ARE not standard by which Bible teachers are tested.

      Acts 17:11 says, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

      They say the Scriptures can be superceded or stepped over.

      1 Corinthians 4:6 says, “And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.”

      They say you cannot be blessed by merely reading His Word.

      Revelation 1:3 says, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

      They say you cannot find joy in the Word.

      1 John 1:3-4, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.”

      And, most important, they say Word is not the standard of judgment.

      Revelation 20:12, “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

      With all this evidence exposing the Vatican and its lies, it is become plainly obvious that they surely choose NOT to tell their flock two things.

      The Bible is the sole authority in religious matters.
      The Vatican has numerous documents declaring her hatred for the Word.

        Amminadab;
        They sure put a lot of effort in keeping a lot of people from ever reading the scriptures, for a LONG timel. They are not Christian, they are Christendom. They don’t serve God, they serve Satan. And they know it.

    • Pix

      “How Do We Know the Bible’s True?”

      While I understant that is what you’d like to believe, after all it’s not called faith for no reason, it is 100% plagiarised from existing beliefs. There isn’t a single element in Christianity that is unique or original to it. And every single element can be traced back to their ancient Animistic origins like a family tree. Fact. Any statement other than that is disingenuous.

      :wink:

      • Damien

        When you read some post Jewish psycho ranting about plagiarized capacity for breathing etc ya know you are reading the gaytheist posts of a perverted commie

      • MikeSavage

        Pix;
        You didn’t describe Christianity, you described Christendom. Two completely different things.

      • HereAmI

        Mr Pix of course, and as usual, is the disingenuous one.
        Let him provide us evidence for an Ark of the Covenant, containing the Tables of the Law, ( a figure for the heart of regenerate man ), a tabernacle in the wilderness, the crossing of both the Red Sea and the Jordan, waters coming forth from barren ground, the commanded sacrifice of a son in the precise place where, centuries later, another would truly be sacrificed, and we will hear him.
        Until then, we hear the restless winds of satan himself, and only.

        • Pix

          Why would you demand I provide evidence for your outrageous claims? You provide your own evidence, it’s not up to others to provide evidence for your claim. Extraordinary claims requires extraordinary evidence, and you have none what so ever, just a load of waffle is all you have.

          :lol:

      • Pix

        I get it, you don’t like the truth.

        Mike. Christianity is Christendom, der. There would be no Christendom with out Christians mass murdering everyone who disagreed. It didn’t spread from their good works, but by Rome demanding conversion at point of sword.

        HereAmI. The last time the Ark of the covenant was mentioned was when Babylon attacked Israel taking them into captivity. They recorded they took all their temple treasures, including the Ark, it’s never been heard of since.

        As for the idiot DamnEl’s persistent claim presumably because he thinks he’s being clever, that post 70 CE = post Jewish, all that can be said is go back to school and pay attention, because you’re a moron.

        :lol:

        • MikeSavage

          Pix;
          Christianity is NOT Christendom, and Christendom is NOT Christianity. Christianity is what Jesus taught, Christendom is what Constantine taught.

    • coolsaint

      There is absolutely no evidence as to who , when or where the old testament was put together . In fact the tablets of Babylon have similar writings but without the god wrote this .The new testament is a Roman political testament put together by Rome , for Rome and Romans

      • HereAmI

        You commit the solecism of hyperbole.
        There is evidence, contained within the text itself. Moses was commanded to write what he was told when upon the holy mountain. The exodus occurred in 1445 BC or so. And I can guarantee that the text was not put together in Paris, or London, or God forbid, Tel Aviv. It was put together where it was first received, beyond Sinai.

    • Bill Lyle

      “How Do We Know the Bible’s True?”
      You don’t. That’s where faith enters the picture.
      Faith is a common substitute for actual knowledge.

      • Damien

        So is time w*nker

      • Mayhem

        The chance that the Bible is not true, Bill, are so small there’s a zero then there’s another 38 zeros, after the decimal, place followed by a one and that’s just based on the number of authors.

        Put another way; there is no other important historical event that can claim 39 authors over 66 books that boast complete harmony. Begging the question; if man can’t write such a work who did?

        Calculating the odds based on the number of prophecies, that history shows have been fulfilled, the numbers become astronomical. And if we presume that the arguable prophecies happened we’re now talking odds where the number of zero’s, after the decimal place and before the one, is greater than the number of atoms in the universe.

        That’s close enough for this sinner. I’m going all in.

        • BEEF SUPREME

          Maybe if we had one more zero he would believe.

        • HereAmI

          The 666, sorry, 66 books, are not in complete harmony.
          The jews, who hate Christ, have interpolated their favourite book, that of Esther and her friend Mordecai, synonyms for Ishtar and Marduk.

          Nowhere does this book speak of Christ, despite His clear statement, “These are they which speak of Me”, and “The volume of the Book is written of Me”.

          • BEEF SUPREME

            Now, HereAmI…

            Because you haven’t managed to make Revelation fit with the remainder of the Narrative, doesn’t mean it can’t be shown to do so. Which it can.

            And in Esther we see several things, not the least of which is the ‘Finger of God’ moving behind the scenes to bring about His purposes. We also see the Jews instituting Purim, which they did of their own volition, thus adding to the Word of God and to the schedule of feasts and appointed times. The Book of Esther contains within it a first-hand look at several things we should NOT be doing. Even though God is not named by word, His presence can easily be argued. But one piece of evidence you have in your corner is the fact that no examples of the Book of Esther were found in Qumran amongst the other scrolls and fragments. So perhaps the Qumran Community agreed with you on that point. I can see, however, numerous dissenting arguments which place the inclusion of the Book in Scripture Canon outside of the province of ‘Jewish’ meddling and Christian complicity.

            • Ambicatus

              Yes! and its one of the MANY examples where our Heavenly Father uses a WOMAN to save the day! Judit comes to mind! choppy chop! and that lady that nailed that king dudes hed to the ground with a stake, that was sweeeeet, and dont forget prophetess and Judge, DEBORAH, sigh, im so happy, i know one day all these SUPER people going to be together and we shall all have a grand ole time, sigh, brings a tear to me eye, the groovyness is excessive. Bill aint never gonna accept Truth, till the weirdness begins, thems fence sitters, stroppy greens, pah, o the fun, i may not even tell you, im not even allowed to email, i cant even give clues, im stuck on certain parameters, and if i step out of bounds, my internet breaks, which sucks, i have so much to tell, i am but a wyrm, a servant here to amuse, i can only express in the form of a song, of the humor/horror, that is to come,

              PLAY LOUD

          • Mayhem

            Perhaps if i had expressed the idea in the negative, HereAmI, and said that there exists no disharmony? I didn’t intend to say that all the books repeat each other precept upon precept.

            Mordecai a friend? Surely you mean cousin and guardian to Esther? And the book of Esther, probably written by Mordecai, could hardly mention Christ almost 500 years before His ministry began plus consider that the book is narrative history not prophetic oracle.

            The book of Esther demonstrates God’s love and sovereignty over the post-exilic Jews, who didn’t join the Exodus, and if it wasn’t for this book would we have such an example?

            • Mayhem

              Regarding the Jews instituting Purim do we see here an example similar to that of the Edomites manipulating sympathies toward their cause much like the supposed atrocities of WWII?

      • HereAmI

        “…Faith is a common substitute for actual knowledge….”

        “Now faith is the substance of things not seen, the evidence of things hoped for”.

        Two definitions, two originators of those definitions.

        You choose.

        • HereAmI

          Sorry, got the clause endings of the second definition the wrong way around, but I hope you get the message.

          Faith is an abstract Greek word and I have been told by a Hebrew site there is no word for faith in Hebrew. Hebrew has very few abstract words

          I have a problem with abstract words thus I substitute words that I understand, for faith I prefer the word “trust” which is still too abstract so I define Faith or trust as the understanding of the Divine Nature of God the Father.

          God’s Nature is revealed by the 10 commandments thus I can trust in every promise of God and every WORD from HIS mouth.

          I am promised eternal life if I endure until the end — I have taken that promise to the bank and I have deposited the check.

          I know by the Nature of God I have in me the down payment towards eternal life.

            אֱמוּנָה

            Deuteronomy 32:20

            And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no FAITH.

            H529 אֱמוּנָה ‘êmûn ay-moon’ From H539; established, that is, (figuratively) trusty; also (abstractly) trustworthiness: – FAITH (-ful), truth.

              I stated I use the word trust, it is a better word for me. Trustworthiness is even better.

              Faith gives me no mental picture.

              I have spent time on the site called “The Mechanical translation.’
              and have found it very helpful.

              Brenner I believe is his name claim Hebrew is in the main a concrete word language and Greek is abstract.

              TRUTHseeker

              You know that the unique English word ‘truth’ comes from the word for ‘tree’?

              Druids possibly being those who were able to see The Tree.

      THE MATHS!!! Pi and the Universal Constant are encoded into the first verses of Genesis, and John, linking the Hebrew and the Greek with the same formula!
