DAVID BOWIE WAS INDEED MUSICALLY GIFTED

David Bowie was indeed musically gifted.  I grew up listening to his music.  Hit after hit, Bowie knew even at the time of his greatest fame that his life wasn’t really his own.  Just like we all know that our lives are not our own…we can’t claim them.  IF we could, we would never die.  It’s really that simple.  Most don’t try to find ultimate Truth, they just go with the flow of the world never asking the tough questions but settling for the answers that are common to the time and culture; yet the persistent fear of the day we have to, er, for lack of a better word, REPORT.  

We go about our lives only occasionally thinking about the day of Report.  We don’t like to think about it.  It is tormenting to think about it.  Fear wells up in us and we stifle the fear with inadequate comforts coming from either our logic or some new age thought about the world and man and it must be true that if we were decent, that Power or whatever it is that put us here will have to see that we deserve to be cut a break, right?  I mean, most of us never murdered anyone, (did we?) We at least deserve a second chance, coming back as another person or perhaps an animal or even a cricket but we dare not think about the place we heard about in that ancient tome written by sheep herders in the dessert, I mean that’s just fairy tales just like the rest, right?  Are you willing to bet your life on it?  I’m not.

That is why after years of searching, I gave in and picked up a bible and read it and found that it did something to me.  I tried to discount it but the more I learned about it the more I found out that it wasn’t the collection of crazy magic and errors that I had been told that it was.  It was in fact, AMAZING to read.  

I learned that God exists FOR SURE and that He is not only a merciful and kind God who loves His Creation (so much that He came dressed as a man to pay for our sins) but He is also the ONLY Sovereign God with Whom we have to do!  He is the ONE. (not Keanu Reeves) He has given us a chance by creating us.  He has given us LIFE and we can choose from the Life that He gives – to have it in full or not – simply by making a choice.

Most will not choose Him but will choose the things that He says are all going to burn up.  They choose fortune and fame and selfishness that one day will condemn them to eternal HELL forever and ever.  THAT is the Report that we are afraid of yet we will all give it one day whether we like the idea or not.  When our lives come to an end (which by the way, could be right now and actually is for many people the world over) we will stand before Perfection so Glorious and Perfect that we will see our lives in God’s light for the woefully lacking sinners that we are but by that time, it will be too late.

I took care of that choice many years ago by reading the bible despite what everyone else thought and said about it and I learned that salvation is REAL.  I BELIEVED what God’s authors wrote in the bible and the moment I truly believed, God took away my sins…ALL OF THEM, in an instant; past present and future.  I am a new creation born in Christ Jesus and it is a free gift for anyone who desires it.  There really is no other way and deep in our hearts, God has put that knowledge into every one of us.  The more we reject it, the more deception He allows into our lives and some of us have rejected Him for so long that we can’t understand any of His written word neither would we want to try.

Don’t become like that; we are living in very shaky and perilous times. (also predicted as many other things about the age we live in now.  Read 2 Timothy 3 and see if that doesn’t describe the people of today)  The world is coming apart in every way and you must get your hearts right by trusting in Jesus Christ because there will be no person that will enter into His presence without having been cleansed by His Blood atonement that is His Gift to us.

  Time is getting very short and for David Bowie, I fear that it didn’t come to him in time and his rejection of Jesus Christ is now being paid…so sad but so true.  God says that we will know them (Christians who have been born again of the spirit) by their works.  Most people will never show any works but that doesn’t prevent YOU from being saved.  You had better look into the bible and understand that by the writings of His authors we MUST BE SAVED because Hell is a real place, in fact much more real (because it is going to last forever) than this present world we live in which we know is going to burn up.  Just look at yourself.  Are you getting old?  Do you think you will escape, young person whoever you are?  You won’t and by the looks of it, you probably won’t have a chance to grow old because the world is changing so drastically.

This is all about us.  We are not capable of fixing this problem ourselves and we all have the same problem.  Isn’t it comforting to know that God paid for the solution to our problem already and the solution is available for everyone alive today?  IF it’s not, just ignore this but if you have read to this point, I think maybe you know that in your heart, you NEED a Savior.  Read and learn and then ask Him to save you.  Do it before it’s too late.  It will very soon be too late.  Don’t miss this.
