Media Blackout! 300+ Arrested at ‘Democracy Spring’ Sit-In at US Capitol (Video)
“People are fed up with the system, they are fed up with the corruption, and we want free and fair elections,” Cenk Uygur, host of the TV show Young Turks and one of the participants in the protest, told RT. “This is our core American right.”
With the goal “to claim the democracy we were promised”, various advocacy groups headed up by Ralph Nader’s Public Citizen and 99Rise.org, plan to hold a “mass sit-in” over the next eight days in the hope of persuading Congress to tackle“corruption of big money in politics and ensure free and fair elections”, according to campaign director Kai Newkirk.
“We hope that it will be the beginning of the end of the corruption of our democracy,” Newkirk told RT, stressing their main pledge is to make Congress pass “four bills that we’re pushing for,” referring to the Government by the People Act, Fair Elections Now Act, the Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2015 & Voter Empowerment Act of 2015, and the Democracy for All Amendment.

Hilarious reporting though. They haven’t won any of those claims, they were given them at the perfect moment to distract people from noticing other more important things. You have been given the superficial approval of a non important entity ruling over you. Some victory. They could easily have done those things at any moment in history, they just wait until its useful. Not to mention, the only chains stopping any of those rights were on yourself, as you ask for them to be taken off from those with no real power to do so. You have ingrained in yourself the need for their approval to do thing they have no business in. It’s hilarious as a spectator, yet sad.
The fact that people were allowed to be arrested is even more hilarious. Some sticking together they did. 1-2 hundred cops with no intention of shooting into a crowd arrest hundreds of people? Such people allowing them to be taken away make me sick. Fight back if they want to assault your rights. Unless the people as a whole are mostly agreeing you should be going to jail, then it doesn’t matter if you are at gun point or not, you should not be going. See them shoot, I dare them. The thousands of people would kill them for it if they had any real intention changing things. Useless masses.

However, violence may be hard to avoid, especially considering this period of April is VERY closely connected to blood sacrifice.

Love the effort, but they will not win this one. The system is corrupt to the core and must completely fail first
I wonder if they’re using the same rebels they used for “arab spring” which they smuggled arms to (fast & furious) through a Mexican Warlord who keps escaping.?
