This Bug Is Popping Up All Over America. But if You Spot it, Run Like Hell. Here’s Why… (Video)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Very few people like idea of bugs in their room, specifically bugs that can cause you harm.  One bug which is known as the kissing bug may have a cute name, but has quite evil intentions down below.

The bug’s bite can be lethal to humans, and the bug, also known as a triatomine bug, is infesting the United States, so learning about this creepy critter is important for your safety and health.

The triatomine bug feeds of the blood of mammals, including humans, dogs, livestock, and just about anything with skin and blood.

The bugs are also attracted to carbon dioxide, which is what humans exhale, meaning the bugs like to find themselves on your face and nose.

If the bug has a parasite in it when it bites you, or defecates into the wound, then you are at high risk to contract Chagas disease, which can be fatal if not treated.

Not every bug has a parasite inside of it, but it is important to be aware of the danger.

The CDC also came out with a map detailing where the bug is being found, so you can know if you are at risk:

If you get bitten, look out for symptoms such as fever, fatigue, rash, diarrhea, and vomiting.

The bugs hide in cracks in many homes, and come out during the night like bed bugs, so sometimes you don’t even know that you have been bitten.

Ways to protect yourself from these bugs include:

  • Sealing all cracks and holes in your home
  • Checking your pet’s bedding for them
  • Removing wood or brush piles near your home
  • Turning off outdoor lights at night

These bugs are hard to kill too.  Bug spray does not phase them, and they will get you if they can!

WD-40 kills all bugs on contact, non-toxic – fish oil in fact. Easily eliminate bed-bugs too. Find ‘em and kill ‘em. Blow it into cracks with the little red hose. WD-40 use #1001.

“Diatomaceous Earth” (DE) will also kill them. 10 lb bag at the farm or tractor supply for about $10 will give you many years of protection. It kills anything with an exoskeleton like roaches & bed bugs by penetrating their outer shell then they die of dehydration. Works better than most professional exterminations in only a few days.

It can even be taken orally by humans or animals in small amounts to get rid of worms & other parasites. No kidding…look it up. Could save lives in an epidemic. Would have ended the Black Plague over night…no fleas…no infection source.

Amazing stuff & non-toxic. Light brown powder that I put in a baby powder bottle to use in dog area of yard. Pretty much wipes out fleas, ticks & critters you can’t even see. Reduces itching of your pets. Some owners rub a little in their pet’s fur instead of using toxic flea collars that cause nerve damage.

          SOld.

Now just how do you spell diatomaceous?

      Rinse with bleach.

If bitten by this bug, stick your head in a 325 degree oven for 6 hours, that will kill the parasites…

the problem with this bug is that IF you do not treat it and the flue like symptoms go away after a few weeks sometimes takes up to two months ( you will run a low grade fever that long) then you think it is gone, WRONG it will morph and may lay dormant in your system for about 7-10 years and when it come back and IT WILL, there is NOTHING at that point that you can do but die a slow painful death! this is a VERY serious issue and has been for years in south america and it is HER NOW in the USA! so if you do live in the known areas you need to be careful and watch out for them!
lets just say for the record i know all about them !!

I use to see this bug as a kid but I don’t see them anymore. Guess they don’t like seeing me as an adult.

We use to call them stink bugs. I never recall them biting however.

      • Anonymous

We have had them all over Massachusetts for at least the 14 years I have been here….we call them stink bugs. Thye really stink if you step on them…

      • Morgana Le Fay

Based on the picture, it kind of resembles a stink bug, but it’s not. There are stink bugs all over the place around here, and they seem to find a way in regardless of what you do to prevent it. On an average day, I end up having to flush around three to four down the toilet because squeezing them in a paper towel releases the most god awful stench. Even my kitties—who love to catch bugs and eat them—won’t go near them. They’re especially bad this time of year and during the fall.

Btw…why is this article posted under the spirituality section?

          • Jeffery Pritchett

You’ve obviously never read the Book of the Revelatory Coming Of The Sting Bug. They will fill the sky and carry unbelievers to the island of Stanker! I post where I want to post so saith Alien Cletus of the seventh district. We have Mordred now. You will receive instructions by Noon. If you ever wish to see him alive again. Signed Sir Stinko
