Trump Thanksgiving Message the Media Doesn’t Want You to See (Video)

Two Thanksgiving messages. Two very different angles.

President-elect Donald Trump‘s inspiring, uplifting message yesterday focused on uniting Americans and making our country great again; outgoing President Barack Obama used his last Thanksgiving message to discuss tolerance and inclusiveness, as reported by WND.

From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to Ronald Reagan, our presidents have given us hope in their holiday messages, often in the most difficult of times. In referencing Lincoln’s words and calling for unity, resolve and strength, Trump called for prayers and closed with “God bless America”.

No prayers were mentioned in Obama’s message, nor the traditional closing.

Long portrayed by the media as divisive, Trump shows that he ready to lead and unite the country in this uplifting message. Here is an excerpt:

“In declaring this national holiday, President Lincoln called upon Americans to speak with ‘one voice and one heart.’ That’s just what we have to do.

“We have just finished a long and bruising political campaign. Emotions are raw and tensions just don’t heal overnight. It doesn’t go quickly, unfortunately, but we have before us the chance now to make history together to bring real change to Washington, real safety to our cities, and real prosperity to our communities, including our inner cities. So important to me, and so important to our country. But to succeed, we must enlist the effort of our entire nation.

“This historic political campaign is now over. Now begins a great national campaign to rebuild our country and to restore the full promise of America for all of our people.

“I am asking you to join me in this effort. It is time to restore the bonds of trust between citizens. Because when America is unified, there is nothing beyond our reach, and I mean absolutely nothing.

“Let us give thanks for all that we have, and let us boldly face the exciting new frontiers that lie ahead. Thank you. God Bless You, and God Bless America.”

Enjoy this wonderful holiday message from Donald Trump:

Beautifully said, Mr. Trump. Our greatest presidents would be proud.

I was hasty to accuse you of impartiality the other day:

    My apologies, brother.

    You wrote:

“There is a big difference between alt media and alt right … I will defend alternative media… but you will not see me protecting alt right.”

This term ‘alt-right’ (as it is now being used in the media) is somewhat new to me. My understanding of both the term and its nuances have now become somewhat more sophisticated.

White nationalism is something I will never defend. (That is, actual white nationalism, such as is found at the Occidental Observer; as opposed to falsely so-called white nationalism, like we find at Breitbart dot com.) Similarly, neo-Nazi ideology and race-driven propagandists like Richard Spencer are something I will repudiate right along with you.

My understanding of ‘alt-right’ had been a combination of alternative media with conservatism and I thought all the attacks from the left on the ‘alt-right’ targeting ‘racist’ views were just more hot air coming from the exasperated progressivists.

Again, my apologies for prematurely impugning your article.

      No Problem Elvis.

I was definitely trying to understand what was going on with you in those comments. Now I get it. Thanks for the compassion and humility. Something a lot of us commenters need to work on.

Hope you had a Merry Thanksgiving. I just woke up so probably should not be typing until my soul is back properly nested in my body. lol take care
