Despicable: Anti-Trump Elector Caught In Massive 9/11 Lie (Video)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A Republican elector who has publicly announced he will go against his constituents’ wishes and not vote for President-elect Donald Trump has been revealed to be a possible fraud.

Chris Suprun, 42, has made a career of his supposed background as an American hero, claiming that he was a first responder on 9/11 when a plane flew into the Pentagon. However, an investigation by WFAA indicates that his resume may not be what he wants us to believe.

Suprun has been in the news as of late for his editorial in The New York Times in which he stated that as a member of the Electoral College, he would not cast his vote for Donald Trump.

Trump “shows daily he is not qualified for the office,” he wrote.

To establish his credibility, Suprun claimed in The Times editorial that, “Fifteen years ago, as a firefighter, I was part of the response to the Sept. 11 attacks against our nation.” He has benefiting from this by creating a nonprofit called Never Forget and showing up to public engagements, reveling in the fact that he was being hailed as a hero.

But a first responder who claimed to know Suprun personally spoke about the scandal on the condition of anonymity, saying that Suprun “claimed to be a first responder with the Manassas Park Fire Department on Sept. 11, 2001, and personally told us stories ‘I was fighting fire that day at the Pentagon.’

“No, I was on a medic unit that day at the Pentagon and you make a phone call to Manassas Park and you find out that he wasn’t even employed there until October 2001,” the source claimed.

Indeed, according to an inquiry made to the Manassas Park Fire Department, Suprun was not hired until a month after the 9/11 attacks.  Worse, the fire chief there added that his department did not respond to the Pentagon or any other 9/11 sites during the attacks.

“It’s no different than stolen valor for the military; dressing up and saying, ‘Hey, I earned a Purple Heart,’ when you weren’t even in combat.’ There’s a big difference between shopping at Old Navy and being a Navy SEAL,” the first responder added.

Further inquiries into other details on Suprun’s resume called into question many of his former job titles and revealed that he was currently bankrupt and had been collecting unemployment.

To falsely benefit from one of this nation’s biggest tragedies is un-American. Surprun appears to be not just a faithless elector — if WFAA’s report is true, he’s just faithless.
