Obama Blames Hillary’s Loss on Fox News, Neil Cavuto Says it Was Because of His Policies (Video)

In an interview with Rolling Stone conducted the day after the election, President Obama rolled out the Democrats’ latest excuse for Hillary Clinton’s shocking loss: Fox News.

“In this election, (working-class white voters) turned out in huge numbers for Trump,” Obama told the magazine’s publisher, Jann Wenner.

“And I think that part of it has to do with our inability, our failure, to reach those voters effectively. Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country, but part of it is also Democrats not working at a grassroots level, being in there, showing up, making arguments.”

Yes, us gullible working-class white people, swilling our beer in some bar and believing everything that comes out of the television. I can’t believe we all don’t realize why your contempt for us is so richly deserved.

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, sadly, is one of those that doesn’t seem to get it. He somehow had the temerity to go on air Friday evening and suggest that maybe the results of the election had more to do with the president’s supercilious attitude and failed policies than it did with the news channel playing down at Houlihan’s.

Cavuto began by relating Obama’s attitude to Cavuto’s own recent cardiac surgery, which he says was because of his denial over his lifestyle choices.

“Denial is deadly, so forgive me when I see the same reaction from President Obama, not over a physical crisis, but a personal crisis, this election,” Cavuto said. “His candidate lost, and he cannot fathom why.”

“Fox News didn’t create this populist wave, your policies did. It wasn’t us playing in bars that doomed you, but so many maybe going to those bars because of you,” he continued, addressing Obama.

“You went after the rich, and seemed stunned when everyone else revolted. All but called the other side racist, yet failed to see the writing on the wall that was pretty black and white,” Cavuto added.

“Just like you failed to see that voters didn’t have a problem with the color of your skin, maybe, sir, just the thickness of it. Just like you failed to see Americans weren’t chauvinist for rejecting a woman for president, maybe just this woman for president.”

So far, Democrats have come up with a panoply of electoral hobgoblins responsible for Hillary’s election lost: FBI Director James Comey, racism, the Russians, misogyny, Fox News, the Russians again, Bernie Sanders, Ray Finkle, Kim Kardashian, and the Russians one more time for good measure.

Rarely blamed? Hillary Clinton. Almost never blamed? Barack Obama. Yet, these were the two individuals who were most to blame for the loss. They cannot look themselves in the mirror and see why this happened. Nor, in fact, can anyone on the left.

The longer the Democratic Party keeps making excuses, the harder it will be for Democrats to rebuild. If they don’t realize this in time, it’s going to be a long four years,
