Scott Kelnhofer for Western Journalism reports, President Donald Trump announced new U.S. sanctions against Iran Friday in response to a ballistic missile test conducted by Iran last week.
In addition to the sanctions, defense officials confirmed Friday the USS Cole has been moved to patrol the waters off the coast of Yemen to protect waterways from attacks on ships by the Houthi, a militia group aligned with Iran.
The Trump administration sanctioned dozens of Iranian-linked entities in a move that senior U.S. officials said marked the beginning of an escalating campaign to confront Tehran in the Middle East and restrain its military capabilities.

This has nothing to do with Iran. The goal of the blockade is to return the Saudi puppet government to Yemen.
The people of Yemen depend on food imports to live. Millions are starving and Trump has sent another ship to enforce the embargo. It is hoped the Houthis will surrender when they see enough of their people die.
