MYSTERY SOLVED CONCERNING “MYSTERY, BABYLON”

Mystery, Babylon Solved on Freedom from Delusion

Many of the concepts, historical information, and other data in this post was derived from the writings of Stephan Jones as found in his book, The Secrets of Time.

Joshua was the leader bringing the descendants of Israel (Jacob) into the promised land. Around 17 years after his retirement the people of Israel, now under the leadership of the tribal leaders, God punished the people for their neglect of bringing forth the fruits of the Kingdom. They were then given over to the king of Mesopotamia, which means “the land between two rivers” (Tigris and Euphrates). It is the old general name for Babylon.

Judges 3:8 KJV Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years.

The above KJV verse states that God “sold” them. The Hebrew word used is “makar” which literally means “to sell” (i.e. as a slave), so God sold them for their debt according to the law of restitution.

The Law of Restitution     The basic law of restitution can be found in Exodus 22. It states that if a person steals an item, that person is to pay restitution to the victim which could be either double, fourfold, or fivefold, depending on the situation. If the perpetrator did not have the resources to pay restitution then Exodus 22:3 states, “if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.” The debt is determined by the value of the theft times two if the item can be returned fully intact, otherwise the debt is multiplied by four i.e. a stolen sheep has been killed. If the stolen item is the tools of a person’s trade such as a “plough ox”, the restitution is multiplied by five times the value of the ox.

Invasion Has Repercussions     The Israelites had stolen the Fruits of the Kingdom, a debt they could not pay due to the lack of means to pay, so they were sold by God to the king of Babylon. With this sale, God then required Babylon to pay Israel’s debt note. Of course, Babylon could not produce the Fruits of the Kingdom by any stretch of the imagination. In the divine law, when a person purchased the services of a debtor, he became responsible to pay off the debtor’s note, which was the purpose for the sale. Babylon became legally liable for Israel’s Debt Note. Invasion of another country’s land has its consequences in the purposes and workings of God.

Ultimately, at a later date, God sold both Israel and Judah into a Babylonian captivity, not for a mere eight years, but for eight periods of 414 years. It began with this first captivity in Judges 3: 8. After two cycles of 414 years, the city of Babylon fell to the Medes and Persians. However, “Babylon” was much larger than a mere city or nation. Babylon is also the spirit of the world system, the kosmos. Though the city fell, its Mystery Babylon spirit lived on and continued to manifest itself through other nations: Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome as prophesied by the statue noted in Daniel 2.

The northern nation of Israel was conquered and deported by Assyria, but afterwards Assyria was conquered by Babylon. Judah was later conquered and deported by Babylon but many were eventually allowed to return during the reign of Medo-Persia to fulfill the prophecy of the life and death of Jesus Christ of the tribe of Judah.

In long-term prophecy, “Babylon” included the four empires that dominated the world and ruled over Jerusalem long after the original Babylon’s fall. When God sold Israel into the hands of the king of Mesopotamia (Babylon), that nation took upon itself the liability for Israel’s debt. The original Kingdom of Babylon fell after 2 x 414 years. Yet in the most far-reaching fulfillment of this, “Mystery Babylon” was allowed to rule the world (including Jerusalem) for another 6 x 414 years, until the year 1948 A.D. And so, Babylon and its extension as Mystery Babylon had dominion for a total of 8 x 414 years, or eight periods of Cursed Time.

The defeat of Babylon, through the actions of Medo-Persia, did not usher the end of the prophetic Mystery, Babylon. In the prophetic dream of Nebuchannezar found in Daniel 2, the Kingdom of Babylon was only the “head of gold” with three remaining empires continuing on in the remainder of the statue: silver arms representing Medo-Persia; the brass stomach representing Greece, and the iron legs representing the Roman Empire in its various forms (which would include the “little horn”). Each succeeding empire on the statue inherited the debt note from the preceding empire since they occupied Judea and Jerusalem. As a matter of fact, God gave all the nations into the hands of Babylon and their successors according to Jeremiah 17:6-10.

Jeremiah 27:6-7 KJV And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him. (7) And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

Of course Babylon did not pay the Debt Note in the time allotted (828 years), nor did it bring forth the Fruits of the Kingdom, so God sold them to the Medes and Persians which transferred the Debt Note to the new empire. In exchange, God would make the Babylonians serve the Medes and Persians for a time. It is important to keep in mind that the Debt Note remained in existence, because God has always required the Fruits of the Kingdom and will continue to require it until a people stands up who can pay God what is due to Him (Matt. 21: 43).

Matthew 21:43 KJV Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation (people, tribe, or race) bringing forth the fruits thereof.

These will be perfected people, under the anointing of the Feast of Tabernacles. They are the “Sons of God” prophesied in Scripture (or “saints of the most High” as prophesied in Daniel 7).

Daniel 7:27 KJV And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

After Medo-Persia obviously failed to deliver the Fruits of the Kingdom, God sold them to Alexander of Greece in 331 BC. At the death of Alexander the empire was divided among four generals for a new Grecian era. The Roman Empire took control of Judea and Jerusalem in 63 BC. Since the original land of Canaan and the city of Jerusalem initiated the Debt Note offense, it would appear that whatever empire controlled that territory became the holder of the Debt Note.

Some Roman History     Rome began as a republic then became an empire under Augustus Caesar. After 312 AD, under the rule of Constantine, it began to appear to be a religious empire. After a period of time, the Church of the Papacy dominated the political scene. This Church empire soon split into the Eastern and the Western Roman Empires. The western section fell in 476 AD to invading armies of the Germanic Empire. The eastern section remained until 1473 when Constantinople was finally conquered by the Turks. The Germanic group did not create an empire on the ruins of Rome and they did not attempt to conquer or rule Jerusalem, therefore they did not inherit the Debt Note.

However, the Holy Roman Empire (i.e. the Roman Catholic Church) stepped into the power void and inherited the Debt Note. Papal Rome is the “little horn” (Daniel 7:8) and an extension of the Imperial Roman Empire and thus the “beast from the sea” of Revelation 13.

The Holy Roman Empire was established by the Papacy a few hundred years after the fall of Rome. The Hapsburg dynasty that ruled this empire did not come to a full end until 1918. By that time, General Allenby had taken Jerusalem from the Turks. Great Britain (Jacob [Israel] / Ephraim / Manasseh) then held Jerusalem as a protectorate until 1947/ 48, when they passed the Debt Note to the Jews (Khazarians / Edomites / perhaps some actual Jews), precisely 8 x 414 years after the Debt Note was originally established in the divine court of law.

Feet of Iron and Clay     The image in Daniel 2 had feet made of iron and clay. Insofar as the Debt Note is concerned, it would appear that this largely applies to the struggle for control of Palestine between the Muslims of the East and the Christians of the West. After Rome’s decline, the next great power to take control of Palestine were the various Muslim forces. The Crusades occasionally took control of Jerusalem for various periods of time, but it was mostly held by Muslims until Allenby took Jerusalem in 1917.

The “iron” of Rome and the “clay” of Islam had divided the land between themselves, as control of the land went back and forth over the centuries. The kingdom was indeed divided, being part of iron, part of clay. For all the bloodshed of the Crusades, neither side brought forth the Fruits of the Kingdom that God required. Neither side paid the Debt Note, though both sides wanted control of the land in order to assert themselves as God’s Chosen people.

The Jews Gain Palestine     In the 1940’s, various Jewish organizations felt that they were the ones called to bring forth the Fruits of the Kingdom. They, too, wanted control over Palestine and the city of Jerusalem. Working in high-level political circles in Britain, and in outright terrorist and criminal organizations in Palestine, they finally succeeded in getting Britain to put the whole question to the United Nations in 1947.

In 1948 the Jews declared the Israeli State’s independence. To them, it was like a Jubilee year. Actually, it marked the time when the original Debt Note was passed from the Babylonian succession of world empires to the Jews, making them responsible to bring forth the Fruits of the Kingdom. The Roman Catholic Church, however, did not recognize the Jewish state for another 50 years.

Most Protestants— especially the evangelicals and fundamentalists in America— immediately declared the new nation to be the fulfillment of the regathering of Israel into the Promised Land. They further declared that the war which broke out in 1948 was the beginning of the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist would soon appear, the Jews would be saved from destruction by Jesus’ return at the last minute, and they would then be converted and preach the Gospel to the world. Obviously, this view fell on the rocks of unfulfillment. The war ended with no mass conversion to Christianity, to say nothing of Jesus’ failure to return. There were too many prophecies that those preachers did not understand or simply did not believe (and some that were invented, I might say).

When the Israeli state’s independence was declared in May of 1948, little did anyone realize that Babylon’s mandate had just ended after eight cycles of 414 years, six of them from the fall of Babylon in 537 B.C. God was about to do a new thing to bring all things to a climax of history.

The Roman Catholic Church finally recognized the Jewish state on December 30, 1993. It was 46 years after the United Nations’ Palestinian Resolution had been passed on Nov. 29, 1947. The Roman Church then falsely recognized the Jews as “Israel,” the holders of Joseph’s birthright, which they do not hold. The year 1993-94 was also the 40th Jubilee of the Church under Pentecost since its inception in 33 A.D. Pope Paul II then visited “Israel” officially in March of 2000 A.D., calling the Jews “Israel” and “the people of the covenant.” Few understand that the Vatican was telling the world that it now recognized the Jews as being in a covenant relationship with God as His Kingdom on earth.

Recognizing the Jews as “Israel” means that the Roman Catholic Church finally agreed with the majority of Protestant evangelical denominations in saying that the Jews possess the birthright name “Israel” that Jacob gave to the sons of Joseph in Genesis 48: 16. In essence, they again became God’s chosen without having to repent of anything and without having to accept Jesus as the Messiah. The transfer of the Debt Note to the Jews was thus completed over a period of time, beginning in 1947-48 and being fully ratified by the Church in 1993-2000 A.D (that would be some of the Church but not all of the Church).

Summation     The Israelites, led by Moses, were given the laws of God in the form of what is now referred to as the Old Covenant. They were the original congregation/called out ones/the Church of God and they were expected to bring forth the fruits of the Kingdom, or at least to attempt to bring forth fruit. They refused to hear the voice of God at Mt. Sinai, and then refused to enter the land of Canaan after the evil report given by ten of the twelve spies sent into the land for reconnaissance. They had a Passover experience but the Pentecost experience eluded them until the time, written in Acts, when the Apostles received a down payment of the Holy Spirit.

The people of Canaan completely forgot their obligation of the Fruit of the Kingdom and God eventually sold them to Babylon. The Debt Note of the Israelites, both northern Israel and southern Judah, were then passed from Babylon to Medo-Persia, then Greece, and lastly the Roman Empire and its various evolved formations such as the Holy Roman Empire or the Papacy church.

Mystery, Babylon is based on the principals of the Babylonian Empire which controlled the monetary policies, the trade, and the concept of subjection or slavery of some type which would include practically everyone and everything. These “Mystery” principals succeeded and ensued with each continuing empire and variation.

The Debt Note was finally passed to the so-called Jews of the misnamed state of Israel. Even the Catholic Church (the beast from the sea) passed the debt to the “beast from the earth” which would be the Rothschild originated banking system and its emanation of fiat money. This banking system sponsored the nation of Israel and has placed almost the entire world into the slavery of monetary debt through its sponsored International banks. The USA was placed into slavery with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act and the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank along with the IRS. The USA is not Mystery, Babylon but a slave of the Mystery System by being forced to pay interest on its own money and partially financing the nation of Israel and waging wars for the expansion of greater Israel. Hopefully this will all soon come to an end.
