Pope Francis in Iraq - Abraham 2.0

Pope Francis just concluded his apostolic trip to Iraq. Associated Press wrote in the wake of this trip:

“The March 5–8 visit is intended to reassure Christians in Iraq who were violently persecuted under the Islamic State. Francis also hopes to further ties with Shiite Muslims,“ [AP]

So that is, on the surface, the purpose of this visit. But there is more to it. We see, for example, that the Vatican News itself wrote that this trip of pope Francis is:

“his most important trip yet as pope“.

And Axios wrote, and I quote:

“The trip comes after two decades of attempts to bring a pope to the birthplace of Abraham, a prophet considered the patriarch of Judaism, Islam and Christianity.”

So if it is his most important trip yet, and if it has been in the making for over two decades of attempts, there must be much more to it. It definitely is not for the mentioned reason, ISIS wasn’t even an issue in Iraq two decades ago. So what is going on? It seems that something of major prophetic significance is unfolding.
