Why the Year 2030 is So Important.

This year (2023) starting on September 15 was the Jewish New Year.  They say it’s year 5784.  They arrive at this number by counting the generations backwards to Adam and Eve.  However they could be several hundred years out because when the Bible says “when Noah was 500 years old”…. was his birthday yesterday or tomorrow.  Exact years cannot be determined for this reason.  We need to use God’s Calendar instead.  Using God’s Calendar we can break it down like this.  Four thousand years from Adam to Jesus (Old Testament), two thousand years from Jesus to his return (New Testament and the Church Age), and one thousand years when Jesus establishes His Kingdom on the earth (the Millennial Reign of Christ).  That would complete the 7000 years given to humanity.  

When Moses led Israel into the Promised Land he gave them many Laws to keep.  God established the 7 year cycles at that time.  You can find it in Leviticus 25 and Deuteronomy 15.  One reason was to give the land a rest every 7 years and the other was that no loans could exceed 7 years.  This 7 year cycle is part of God’s Calendar and is still valid.  This is Very Important to understand because if we have now entered the first year of a new 7 year cycle then another cycle cannot interrupt this one.  So the next 7 year cycle cannot start until this one is over.  So the question is this:   Is this the Last 7 Year Cycle?  We can find this out by dividing the years by 7.  According to the Jews this year 2023 is their year 5784 but that cannot be correct because it is not evenly divisible by 7.  The next evenly divisible year is 5789 but that is 5 years away so that can’t be correct either.  So when is the Last 7 Year Cycle?

It’s easier to determine if we count from the other end.  The Bible teaches that when Jesus returns to set up His Kingdom on earth he will rule for 1000 years.  But 1000 is not evenly divisible by 7.  And that’s because the 7 year cycles will no longer apply.  Jesus will set up His Kingdom with His Rules and Laws for the 1000 years.  So let’s deal with the 6000 years that God decreed for humanity until then.  The last year of the 6000 years is year 5999 which IS evenly divisible by 7.  Therefore the year 5999 would be the Last 7 Year Cycle and Jesus would start His 1000 year reign on earth the next day.  What does this mean?

There were 4000 years from Adam to Jesus and then 2000 years from Jesus to the start of His 1000 year Kingdom completing God’s 7000 year Calendar.  Jesus was crucified in 30 AD.  Will he return in 2030 AD?  Because that is 2000 years later.  The Jewish New Year in 2029 therefore must be year 5999 which is evenly divisible by 7 and which ends the 7 year cycles and the Church Age and begins Christ’s rule on Earth.  If this is accurate then we are now in the Last 7 Year Cycle during which the Tribulation will occur which ends with Armaggedon and Jesus’ arrival.  Hallelujah!   But…..there’s more to this story.  

What will happen during this last 7 year cycle?  Many things and they go from bad to worse.  The Great Tribulation, the Resurrection/Rapture of the Church, the devil and his angels coming to earth to rule for the last 3 1/2 years, the 7 trumpet judgments, the 7 bowl judgments, and many other wars, famines, pestilences, and other events.  You can read all about them in the Book of Revelation which reveals the events of the End Times including the Final Judgment when Jesus arrives.
