Yes, "Entitlements" Are A Problem

The only entitlements that need to cease are those that support corporations who make billions in profits annually and pay no tax. I do not consider social security an entitlement since I have paid into it all my life. I do not consider those who have to get food stamps an entitlement since it is those in power who have granted tax break after tax break and have allowed international corporations to avoid payment of taxes by loop holes they created for them. I mostly consider care of the poor with food stamps and health care a society’s social responsibility. If a society is known by it’s treatment of the poor than I am afraid that America is failing to pass that test. No way should people of this country be going hungry, no way should are elderly be dismissed as insignificant, their wisdom goes untapped. Shame on us for we the people have too long allowed them to set the dialog. Fact of the matter is we can demand our elected leaders uphold their constitutional job descriptions and it as simple as getting a judge to issue a writ mandamus. I say we need several of those obtained throughout this nation and we the people put the power back where it belongs and that is in the hands of the people.
