A police spokesperson surnamed Hui has become a celebrity among bloggers who nicknamed him “Hui Sir” and have been making jokes about his catchphrase:
“I will now recap in English”
There are now several remix videos like this one, memes and sarcastic jokes like the one below, and even a Facebook page that got over 56,000 likes.
In fact, Hui Sir seems to be of more interest to people than the content of the press conferences… which might explain why he hasn’t been seen in the broadcasts recently.
