Gov. Bevin, let's tear it down

I would reverse that immediately.” That’s what candidate Matt Bevin promised in 2015, regarding Kentucky’s careless ObamaCare expansion scheme. “The Medicaid expansion enacted under ObamaCare is unaffordable to the taxpayers of Kentucky and should be repealed.” But he’s saying something different now that he’s GOVERNOR Matt Bevin. . . “We are going to submit to CMS a solution that we are going to work with them on.” In other words, Governor Bevin is now planning to work with the Obama Administration to continue ObamaCare expansion under a different name. And if his customized ObamaCare expansion plans aren’t approved by the Obama Administration? According to most recent media reports, he’s not even planning to take any real action during the 2016 legislative session! That’s much different from the promise to “reverse” ObamaCare expansion “immediately.” So just why is the governor breaking the very campaign promise that helped him win his election? Once elected, politicians tend to follow the path of least resistance. And the pressure from ObamaCare supporters is severe. ObamaCare supporters are refusing to look at the facts about Kentucky’s ObamaCare expansion. The Beshear Administration claimed ObamaCare expansion would be a health care job creator, but the opposite is true – Kentucky is bleeding jobs in that sector. And enrollment in ObamaCare expansion has exploded far beyond the original projections – by at least two times what was expected. And while these able-bodied individuals are already receiving Medicaid, nearly 6,000 truly needy Kentuckians with serious disabilities are still waiting in line to be enrolled. That’s right – one of ObamaCare’s dirty little secrets is that Medicaid expansion throws the truly needy under the bus by forcing them to wait in line behind able-bodied individuals. Do you remember how ObamaCare stooges swore their scheme would bring prices down, since “everyone would have to pay something in”? 97% of all of last year’s “newly insured” citizens are on ObamaCare expansion! That’s why insurance prices continue to skyrocket. As is usually the case, bureaucrats grossly underestimated the number of people that would apply for Medicaid in states that expanded their programs. Kentucky simply can’t afford to continue this rotten scheme.
