Q:   I have a question.  There’s a guy who has a crush on me.  However, his ex is harassing me.  He may still be seeing her (I don’t know).  But it’s starting to make me uncomfortable.  Should I mention it to him?  Should I be done with the entire situation?  Or should I let her continue to make a fool of herself?

A:  WWWH, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN……  Not sure how long you’ve known him, but if it’s kicking off to a rough start, it’s going to end rough.  You’ve asked 3 questions here, and its Friday, so what the heck, we’ll address all three.    “Should I mention it to him?”…  Yes you should, but in your final conversation with him.  “Should I be done with the entire situation?”  We can’t believe you even asked this foolishness, so we’re NOT going to answer a question you already know the answer too, SMH.  “Or should I let her continue to make a fool of herself?”  As you know, we never deal with the person the question is submitted about, we speak directly to the submitter.  If you stay in this situation with a crazy ex who is OUT OF CONTROL, the only fool here is YOU….  We can’t say if he’s still seeing her or not, but either he just broke it off with her (which could mean he has a lot of baggage) or she’s just plain out crazy and don’t know how to let go….  Either way let her have him, you find a DRAMA FREE man, and if she continues file for a restraining order.   BTW, how old are you?  You’re either very young or very old…  Hadn’t heard “Crush on me” in years….  SMH….

Here’s the truth…..

There are times in life we are forced to make hard decisions.  “Sanity” and “Peace” ask us “Are you willing to sacrifice me for that job, that extra dollar, or that person who is filled with drama?”  And because of our own insecurities, selfishness, and sometimes our “drive” for success, we deny “sanity” and “peace” for what appears to be “happiness”.  We enter relationships in which a blind person could see the “Danger Signs”; we accept positions we know will only leave us tired, drained, and stressed; and for that extra dollar we sell our integrity, peace, and “drama free” life for something that add no value to our lives.  In our pursuit for happiness we lose ourselves only to find out later it wasn’t worth the sacrifice.  The truth is…  “Happiness” is based on what is “Happening”.  It works from the “outward”, while “Joy”, “Peace”, and “Sanity” works from the inward.  These 3 underrated, quick to be sold out, and major components are not driven by the highs of life; the amount of money in our accounts; the face of the person we love, but they are a rooted in the core of our existence.  They are sought out by many, yet found by few.  When we are faced with the challenges of life, they kick in and allow us to smile even in those times we should be crying.  You see if we keep our minds (“Sanity”) are stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect “Peace”.    And because His “peace” surpasses all understanding, we can find “Joy” in everything we are faced with….  How much is your “sanity”, “joy”, and “peace” worth?????
