The Problems with Religions and their Version of GOD

  We live in a time where more people live on the planet than ever before, and they all require precious resources to survive.The resources are limited, yet we have the means and capability to feed and house everyone on the planet.
Religious fanatics, of any stripe, all have one thing in common, which is, their version of ‘God” is the only true and correct version, and they are more than willing to murder , coerce, and impose upon the rights of anyone who does not believe in their version of ‘God”.
 More problems have been caused by religion, than solved. Christians say god is love, and anything bad is due to man’s sin and freewill. I say, we are responsible for our own fate and destiny, not some fantasy being in the sky, who , by his own words, supposedly, is an egotistical megalomanic.
 The Musilim’s think it’s their duty to convert the Heathens , by any means necessary, hence the Jihad, and all the terrorism in the name of Allah.Christians say, we are suffering from the results of the original sin, and everything inexplicable is ‘god’s will.
I propose, that if the god of the book is what he says he is, then he is one sadistic puppy. ‘I command you to enter the land, and kill every man , woman, and child which occupies the land I am giving to you”
Well, I personally do not need to depend on some fantasy to control my life. We would all be better off if we worried about helping others when they need help, instead of attempting to ‘help’ the poor lost sinners’ who don’t have god in their lives.
Every problem in the world can be laid at the feet of this so called god. All the pain, all the death, all the suffering, for as the fanatics believe, He is in control, and He has a plan to save us , which will work out in the end. Hogwash!
  Wake up and realize that you alone are responsible for your life, and it is your duty , first to take care of your own family, then to help others whenever you can.God is nothing more than a fairy tale for those to weak, or ignorant to accept their lot in life.
Quit trying to force your beliefs on others, and keep your nose in your own business, instead of trying to force others to see things your way
.
God is a played out idea for those to ignorant to think for themselves. I think the world would be a better place without the right wing religious fanatics, of any particular sect or creed. You know what is right and wrong, so quit trying to act like you need to do something for god. He has done quite enough harm already. I will mention the Holy Wars. The Inquisition, the Salem witch trials, the war on drugs, prohibition, and the list goes on forever.
Invest your time doing something productive, instead of talking to the ceiling. God is dead, long live the human spirit, for we are truly the only one’s responsible for our lives and destiny, not some invisible being, who is impotent to do anything, except cause pain and suffering by his myriad ‘word’, of which every sect and cracker jack preacher has his own version.
