Cult Survivor Warns Public

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Ghosts or abusive cult members targeting individuals? Author Richard Kelly has some fo the answers and is warning the public this week.

A cult survivor has issued warnings to the public Monday in a written statement, shedding light on the difference between religions and cults and the targeting phenomenon many innocent people are suffering globally.

The difference between “religion” and “cult” can often seem slight, but any self-identified “targeted individual” (TI) will say the need to better understand cults these days is paramount. Cult members prey on their targets in ways unimaginable for the average person never exposed to such abuse and the phenomeon is growing rapidly, according to TIs.

These days, many people might describe “believers” as one big community of faith, but there are very important differences among various belief systems, says self-described “survivor” of Jehovah’s Witnesses Richard E. Kelly.

“On the spectrum of faiths, I put the Watchtower Society, Jehovah’s Witnesses closer to the (Charles) Manson Family cult than I do, say, the Lutheran Church,” says Kelly, www.richardekelly.com, author of Growing Up in Mama’s Club – A Childhood Perspective of Jehovah’s Witnesses and The Ghosts from Mama’s Club.

Kelly’s books detail his experiences being reared in a Jehovah’s Witnesses household, ensuing family disharmony and how the cultish legacy contributed to his sister’s murder.

In the hundreds of emails and Facebook messages Deborah Dupré has received from hundreds of suriviors of being targeted, not one of those self-idientified TIs has not feared for their life. Some have reportedly been murdered, often after years of crying out for help.

Somehow, in most of these cases, the TI’s family members and friends are either coopted to not help the target or they actively participate in the targeting due to lies told to them about the target. The system worls as well as Stanley Milgram proved in his obedience research.

Milgram showed most people will physically harm another if told to do so by an authority. The church is viewed an authority to many people, as Kelly describes below.

Is someone you know in a cult? Kelly says to consider the following four cult constructs:

1. Certainty that the world will end in one’s lifetime:This is a crucial pill to swallow for a subsequent list of cult beliefs, which keep followers in a perpetual state of fear. If only one holds true enough to a strict set of rules – like avoiding pledges of allegiance at school, for example – then they may be spared at Armageddon.

2. Social manipulation:For Jehovah’s Witnesses who are not observant of all rules, ostracism and shunning is used. How to handle someone who questions policy? Make sure their family ignores them!

3. Cripple half of the members (women):For Jehovah’s Witnesses, women are seen as creatures trapped somewhere between men and animals in God’s hierarchy. No woman can have a position of authority, which means it’s men only for preaching, teaching and praying. If there’s an official meeting and a woman prays she must cover her head out of respect for the angels who might be there.

• Scorning education: Who needs advanced learning when the world is sure to end in a few short years? Kelly’s sister, Marilyn, had very little education, so when she was finally able to leave home, she had few coping skills. She ultimately met an abusive third husband, who later murdered her.

4. Sexually repressive:Jehovah’s Witnesses are thoroughly indoctrinated in how to harness the power of the sex drive to please God. It’s obsessive compulsive when it comes to creating rules about sexual do’s and don’ts, from masturbation to the role of women; from conception to sexual pleasure. Sex before marriage is an onerous crime, punishable by shunning and death at Armageddon.

Richard E. Kelly was reared as a Jehovah’s Witnesses. At 20, while working at the religion’s headquarters, he left the group to live with his wife, Helen, in New York City.

Because Kelly’s family believed Armageddon was imminent, his education was limited to what was required by law, since there would be no future. However, he went on to earn a bachelor’s in accounting, a master’s in business and become president of a Michigan manufacturing company. He now enjoys retirement with his family and friends.

“…Milgram showed most people will physically harm another if told to do so by an authority….”
This sounds rather like another cult, called the US Military, doesn’t it? Or the IDF / Mossad?
But my! Debra’s been busy, hasn’t she? A couple of days ago she was telling us all about the holohoax cult perpetrated by her co-religionists, the orthodox jews.
But I don’t expect she wants to talk about them here. Much better to stick to safe ground, like the JW’s. They’re an easy target, and they aren’t protected by the Hate Speech laws, are they? Because it’s not kosher to talk about the jews, is it? And there is a “whip of fire” curse on anyone who goes outside the orthodox community to spill the beans on them, isn’t there?
Debra’s points 2, 3 and 4 all relate strongly to the cult of yeshiva students nodding away all over the world in their Talmudic hothouses. As a woman, she surely knows all about the contempt the homosexual rabbis have for her sex, and how they won’t let her read their sacred, or should I say satanic, talmud. The only difference is at point 1, where the jew imagines, as he has been told by all of his Great Rabbis, that he will shortly begin to rule over the goyim for a thousand years, with the kind of Rod of Iron that only the true jew knows how to wield.
Debra expects to get a good job in this wonderful time of millennial bliss for her country. This will be in exchange for writing the BS she spreads all over BIN.
But Debra, it isn’t going to happen. Get your nose out of the Kabbalah and read the truth. It is written in the New Testament. You know, that book that the rabbis describe as “blank paper”.

How about you look into the Cult of Holcaustianity and do some debunking there. It is sorely in need of challenge- esp by you.

The only difference between a cult and a religion is scale. They both prey on the stupid, ignorant and down right gullible. They both take advantage of peoples good natures and they ALL need your money.

How about the cult of Atheism they constantly belittle and abuse people if you don’t think like they do.

They are always on the attack every day and always bitter and vicious.

They seem to be consumed with evil and hate more than any of the other groups.

When you combine atheism with government it always turns into a murderous regime. Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Kim Jong ll just to name a few.

They are amongst the greatest of all murderers that the world has ever seen.

One can follow the doctrine of Christ, as recorded by Matthew and John and therein see that as with men in the line of Jesus, it is not a sign for a woman to be in a concubine relation with a man, whether the man is married or not (John 4).

Follow the doctrine of the false apostle Pharisee Paul, and the man made rules are just as onerous as any cult. Those who bow before Gentile altar and perform the Eucharist are cult members as well (Hebrews 13:10, 1 Corinthians 11:26, 29-30). Jesus never established a Gentile altar or Eucharist or spiritual offices over his people. All the foregoing is cult stuff of the Pharisees and they did it for money, Romans 15:27 evil Pharisee Paul gloats to his Pharisee buddies that the Gentiles are turning over their money for the Pharisees’ spiritual teaching.

Abraham had a wife and concubine. King David has many wives and concubines. 4 of the 12 sons of Jacob were born of concubines. Until 1862, it was legal in America for a man to have more than one wife at a time. Men are not restricted by God, but by governments, to one wife. God permits men to have multiple wives and/or concubines.

I meant to write it is not a sin before God for a woman to be in an ongoing, marriage-like relationship with a man (concubine), whether the man is married or unmarried.
