Presumably you are talking about the bible. In which case it’s not 2’000 years old but c1’500 years old. The first meeting to create Christianity didn’t take place until 325 CE, the oldest bible c 500 CE. The northern European version was in Latin which most people couldn’t read. The priests used it to manipulate the population out of their wealth by getting people to pay them for praying for them. Kings paid them a small fortune for their prayers and special dispensations so they wouldn’t go to hell for their crimes.
It’s not difficult to understand why the church had such a problem with lay people reading the bible when you consider what has happened since people can read it. There are so many contradictions it can be interpreted to mean anything you like. Things fall apart when the centre cannot hold. It went from one religion to over 200’000 different sub cults, all spewing the same elitist BS about how ‘they’ are the only true believers. Christianity is fragmenting because under examination it’s like a sieve, it can’t hold water.

What about the Nag Hammarabi texts of the gnostics showing that parts of the Bible have been changed? What about more ancient texts of the Egyptians and Babylonians showing the Bible to be a rewrite of their texts starring the Hebrews?
