And, while the Christians of today—because they have been relentlessly threatened with ‘eternal damnation in hell’ if they do not believe in the ‘atoning sacrifice of Jesus’—have, for that reason, deicided to ‘love’ the Jesus who never existed (to the profit, not surprisingly, of the Christian religious officials; who, of course, teach only and precisely what they have been paid to teach about the Jesus who never existed), they would hate the Jesus who existed in reality with every fiber of their being.
Why?
Because that Jesus was not ‘God’.
Because that Jesus did not ‘die for their sins’; but was, instead, tortured to death for teaching the Doctrine of “resurrection” as a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’.
And, for that reason, is of no real ‘use’ to them.
That is, they cannot rely upon their belief in his ‘atoning sacrifice’ either to ‘forgive them their sins’ or to ‘get them into heaven’; but, instead, they will be ‘raised from the dead’ to live more lives in this world
And, while it is, of course, infinitely more ‘entertaining’ to believe in the Jesus who never existed than in the Jesus who existed in reality…
One of the disadvantages of believing in the Jesus who never existed is that, to the boundless relief of the Christian religious officials (all of whom, of course, need their jobs, their health insurance and their pensions), it is impossible for him ever to return (regardless of what they teach to the contrary).

But, how did such a thing happen?

The answer is really quite simple: Paul’s doctrine of “vicarious atonement”.
Once you ‘successfully’ ‘explain’ the crucifixion (away) not as the result of any Doctrinal disagreement; but, instead, as a “vicarious atonement” for the sins of men, any such Doctrinal disagreement with the Pharisees, no matter how significant, first becomes utterly irrelevant, consumed by an overwhelmingly more important reason: getting the individual Christian into heaven. But, after it becomes irrelevant, it then disappears altogether; which, of course, was Paul’s intention in the first place: to preserve the authority of the Pharisaical Jewish priesthood in opposition to the Teaching of Jesus.
In other words, first Jesus and his immediate followers had to be ‘eliminated’ (as the Christianized Roman empire under Constantine ‘eliminated’ the Gnostic followers of Jesus and their writings).
And, then, the Teaching of Jesus had to be utterly and successfully perverted into Christianity for the purpose of preserving the Pharisaical Jewish priesthood…
A ‘success’ which, however, resulted in an anti-Semitic Christian theology (and anti-Semitic pogroms in Europe over several hundreds of years) and the rise of Nazism.

Isaiah tells us that the LORD alone MADE all things:

God used Joseph to establish in Egypt a safe haven for the growth and development of the “seed of Abraham” until they were ready to be delivered into the land God had promised them. Most of what you say is specifically contradicted by the Thanksgiving Hymns of the Dead Sea Scrolls (written by Jesus), as well as by the Treatise On the Resurrection and the Gospel of Truth, two of the documents found at Nag Hammadi, Egypt.

Actually there is one historical candidate that does fit the Jesus description. The problem is that Jesus is a Greek name, there should be no connection between a Greek name originating from Greek literature that is associated with a strict aesthetic Israelite preaching to keep all the old Israelite laws better than the law keepers. Theists claim the origin is Hebrew and translated into Greek.. they obviously don’t get the significance of the original material being Greek, not Hebrew.
We have a historic Iesous, nick named Caesarian, the only begotten son of god the Roman emperor Julius Ceasar, via the goddess and Greek Egyptian pharaoh, Cleopatra Ptolemy/Isis Meri. It is well known that Cleopatra associated herself with Isis as a royal virgin (unmarried), having a child of a god, Ceasar.

It would also explain the really weird bit in the bible where Jesus went off into the wilderness, where the devil offered him kingship of the world, when nobody would have accepted him as such without him being born into it. It also explains why Rome would be getting involved with crucifying someone over petty religious infighting in a piffling small backwater Roman province, when crucifixion was Rome’s worst punishment, reserved for traitors to Rome. They were not taken down for an honorable burial, but left to rot off the contraption as a warning to other potential traitors. Rome didn’t use a cross to crucify people, but a T shaped gibbet.

The Jesus that existed some 2000 years ago is already quite real to me, as not only a person, but a teacher of Truth.
The Truth he taught is to be found in his reply to the Sadducees; in which he specifically denies any *doctrine* of a physical raising of a dead body from the grave
How he experienced the Revelations he received is to be found in the verses of the Thanksgiving Hymns.
What he taught about “the resurrection” is expressed in greater detail in The Treatise On the Resurrection; and subtle hints about the intimacy of his relationship with the apostle Mary is to be found in the Gospel of Mary.
But it is not possible to have any real relationship with someone who is dead.
The word for that is “idolatry”.
By the way, you CANNOT “promise” me ANYTHING about someone who is dead ‘making himself real to me’.
First, because he is dead.
Secondly, because you are not a prophet.
And thirdly, because you don’t know the Will of God as far as I am concerned.

There is a technical issue here.
Jesus did not teach any doctrine of “re”-incarnation, which is also based upon the pagan doctrine of a metaphysical ‘soul’ which ‘incarnates’ from one body to another. This is dealt with specifically in the Treatise On the Resurrection; when reference is made to the “philosopher who is in the world” agreeing to some degree with the Doctrine of “resurrection”; that philosopher being, of course, Plato, who taught the doctrine of “re”-incarnation.
The proper term is ‘rebirth’–that ‘rebirth’ occurring through the Power of the Creator rather than the ‘power’ of a metaphysical ‘soul’ to ‘incarnate’ again, as explained in the Treatise On the Resurrection.

Hmm interesting.. I became aware of this subtle distinction many years ago, by an interesting christian blogger. It also appears in other systems (Buddha talked about it); I have a hard time wrapping my mind firmly around it. I’ll study this treatise, thanks.
The best analogy I’ve seen is that rebirth is akin to a new seed being planted as opposed to a cutting being taken from an existing tree. My best grasping of this is that the soul is to some people the Spirit but to others represents the psyche or individual mind. If being rebirthed you will have a different psyche or identity.

I’ve been studying the Thanksgiving Hymns since 1974.
The radio-carbon dating was really the LAST piece of evidence that I needed to demonstrate that they were written by the Jesus of the canonical Gospels.
They were NOT written by any “Teacher of Righteousness”, whose title comes from a much more rigid adherence to the Law than the Sadducees in Jerusalem. That is, the TOR was a “Sadduceean” rather than a Sadducee.
In any case, there are two Revelations referred to in 1QH demonstrating that only Jesus could have written them: 1) the Vision of Knowledge–which is a term used for the Vision of the “Son of man”; and, 2) the Revelation of “the resurrection”–which is cryptically referred to as “the Way of Thy heart” (see the Hymns for the context in which these terms are used).
The only other possible option as an author is John the Baptist; but he, too, was a Sadduceean and the words of Jesus in the Gospels clearly demonstrate why he could not have written them.
For years, the ‘official’ Dead Sea Scrolls researchers did EVERYTHING possible to push the dating of 1QH AWAY from the time during which Jesus lived; realizing that, if too many people jumped to the conclusion that Jesus had written them, the con game would soon collapse. This is also why they waited almost 45 YEARS before subjecting them to radio-carbon dating.
And, once that happened, all further interest in the Dead Sea Scrolls by the media EVAPORATED…
