Yes, but the older ‘Hebrew god’ said that the messiah’s name would be ‘Emmanuel’, not Jesus. Adding a title of ‘Christ’ to the mess changes nothing. You can’t explain away this one simple contradiction. I really don’t want to hear the rest of how he sets aside all the laws, like God saying that the Ten Commandments were for ‘his people, forever’, and yet not 2000 years later, you have little Jesus saying ‘he has fulfilled the law’ (clearly, forever is only 2000 years, if that is the protestant case).
The problem with religion being brought into common conversation is that it starts to break up like a slushy ice cube when you look at it, in the light.
The problem with religion is the way you interpret it.
When Jesus said,”Do not think that I have come to revoke The Written Law or The Prophets; I am not come to revoke but to fulfill. He was not referring to the Ten Commandments but to the old Testament.
Which means that He was fulfilling the prophecies and renewing Gods relationship with man.

Is there a commandment which states that someone should be stoned?
I hear of these stories often.
How many who tell them would be prepared/comfortable with telling them while wired to a lie detector?

You should read the book of Job, which by the way is an ancient book, not dated in the Bible. It originated in the much older Sumerian cuneiforms. Much can be learned if one keeps an open mind, and is willing to break tradition and modern dogma of organized religion.
Ch. 1 verse 6 Now there was a day when the (sons) not one but sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Sa’tan came with them. ( Oh God hangs out with the old lizard !)
7 and the Lord said unto Sa’tan, whence cometh thou? As if he did’nt know ! So on and so forth.
8 And the Lord said unto Sa’tan, hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in all the earth, a perfect man (perfect man) don’t teach that at church! And so on and so forth.
9 And then Sa’tan answered the Lord, doth Job fear God for naught ?
10 Hast not thou maid a hedge about him, and so on and so forth.
11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse the to thy face.
Note: Sa’tan said to the Lord put forth His hand, for he had no power over Job.
12 And the Lord said unto Sa’tan, all that he hath is in is in your power, and so on and so forth.
Note: Sa’tan had to be given power. Who created Sa’tan ?
As I said maybe you should read the whole book much to learn from Job’s experience.

Read the book of Job? Many people here would be hard pressed to find a job.

There is no such thing as being taken somewhere when you are dead. It’s quite impossible. We do NOT have a separate soul, we ARE a soul when alive. When we are dead, nothing is left. “The soul that sins, it itself shall die”. That’s a scriptural quote. Soul and life are synonyms, they mean the SAME THING. There exists NO HELL. We have no immortal soul. What people say is a trip to hell and back is a demonic memory given them by demons. What people say are ghosts are demons, not dead loved ones. Teaching things like that is only helping Satan in his effort to mislead the entire inhabited Earth, and is an abomination to God Almighty. It is a condemnation to destruction to teach lies about God and the scriptures and about Jesus, and God’s active force, Holy Spirit. They are three separate things. God is the sovereign ruler of the universe, Jesus is his son, and Holy Spirit is God’s active force. THERE IS NO TRINITY, unless you are pagan.

Try picking one of your false claims, and research it. Read the court records. Not one of them is true. You speak of doctrinal changes, well the JW’s have none. No doctrine whatever. The only thing that changes, is their understanding of a scripture here, and a scripture there, based on further research. It is all ongoing. There are no scandals, no lies, no coverups, and never have been any. What you are reading is from apostates who serve only Satan, as you are doing in your posts here. You see, you believe what anyone says, except the people you are denegrating. You don’t use facts, only what others say. You probably believe a religion, and they are all against God Almighty. All religion is a sin against God, as Jesus taught. They all lie, and none teach the true scriptures. It’s your choice however. You are assuming that a belief in ‘God’ must be either Judaism, Christianity or Islam. You are wrong. The original context of the word ‘god’ was something, anything that could and did affect their lives, from fleas to solar flares, from despotic dictators (living gods) to gladiator slaves, the peoples true gods, because people followed them like we follow football teams. It is an abstract term to cut out a really long boring conversation as to what is affecting your life, ie the culmination of cause and effect, not the subsequently twisted, literalised meaning from dark age state enforced thought and belief intolerant dictatorships called ‘religions’.
