The Church of Modern-Day American Atheism!

Let’s hear it for the Atheists of America! You really have earned the title of

“Most Faithful Religious Group in America”!

If you, the reader, happen to be an Atheist, please don’t take any offense at your nomination, for I, as a Christian man, am envious of your faith. I shamefully regret that I struggle to exhibit the “child-like” faith in my Heavenly Father and Creator, that you do in Mankind’s understanding of creation. I am aware that you are reluctant to receive this honor, as you do not consider yourselves to be “religious.” Rather, you see yourselves as “anti-religious.” You pride yourselves on being individual and skeptical thinkers, who don’t just blindly believe what some “man-written” book says. No… You only believe “facts” based on “scientific” research and hard evidence. I understand that to even be nominated for this award could be considered offensive to you, in light of your often vocalized view that “organized religion” is public enemy, number one. Still, the evidence of your faith is like the wind, which is invisible, but its effects can be devastating.

Atheists are so devoted to their faith in what they mistakenly refer to as “Science,” that, not only do they have a strong faith in theories that are not actually proven, scientifically or otherwise, but they, in some cases, still maintain faith in theories that have been scientifically disproven. [This refers to theories such as the “Darwinian” Theory of Evolution, which is a theory based on the archaic understanding that the smallest component of life was the “cell,” which was thought to be about as complex as a ping-pong ball. Since Charles Darwin’s day, we have learned much more, scientifically, that eliminates Darwin’s deeply racist theory as plausible. (i.e. the LAWS of Information Systems, and Entropy, not to mention Mendel’s Laws of Genetics.) This is why Darwin’s THEORIES never, officially, became LAWS and remained THEORIES till their dying day, although many of them have been mandated into public discourse.] Although Atheists tend to demonize any scientist who happens to link a piece of evidence to any theory involving the possibility that there is a power greater than Government, they still manage to blindly accept any theory that would exclude that possibility. A Muslim may be willing to give or, in some cases, even take a life for the advancement of “Allah,” but an Atheist is willing to risk his entire soul for the advancement of unproven theories, which is why the Church of Atheism has won this year, in the “Devotion” category.

Atheists can also be some of the most disciplined people. Through training themselves to see only what strengthens their pre-existing beliefs, they can easily thwart any argument to the contrary by, simply, assuming that their own beliefs are facts, and that the “disagreer”, and his remarks, must, therefore, be stupid. The modern Atheist can become, actually, quite steadfast in his faith-based beliefs. Atheists have a very strong discipline that is instilled through spending various amounts of time in a decadent culture, such as ours. (This affects those who subscribe to other religions, as well, excepting that there is, at least, something holding them morally accountable outside of the police.) Every form of media in America is currently, and has been for a very long time, pushing the Atheist agenda, with their message being that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and must not be criticized for them. This message is not a bad one, as I’m pretty sure our founding fathers had the same idea in mind. The Atheist movement, however, has taken this philosophy to a new level, and implemented their own definitions of “separation of Church and State” and “free speech,” resulting in a social-climate that allows them act and speak freely, in accordance to their religion, while rarely having to hear an argument that favors the existence of a Creator, or witness someone committing an act of “faithfulness” to their religion. The Atheists have achieved their desired changes to American culture through their unwavering discipline, securing for themselves top honors in the “Discipline” category.

When it comes to “blindness-of-faith” or “child-like faithfulness,” the Atheists would only have tied the Evangelicals, if it weren’t for the fact that the same “Science” that they put every ounce of their faith in, has been promoting the unproven, and evidence-lacking theory of man-made “global-warming” as FACT for over 20 years, in spite of being 17 years in to a global-COOLING trend. To believe this theory, as sold by Al Gore, would require either a very small brain, or a very blind faith, and is just the edge the Atheists need to earn the number-one spot in the category of “Blindness of Faith.” (We at the Faith Awards are aware that a belief in man-made global warming and a disbelief in the existence of a god are not necessarily connected. However, since the Atheist who believes in Darwinian evolution, and not man-made global warming, doesn’t exist, a belief in the prior and disbelief in the latter are, effectively, connected.)

In regards to “piety,” the Atheists are well equipped to live their lives in accordance to their belief system, making them, at least in their own minds, less hypocritical than the “religious” folks. This is due to the inherent selfishness promoted by a world view that places one’s own self as his supreme moral authority. Their acts of selfishness are, therefore, congruent to their “survival of the fittest” mentality. This creates, at least in the eyes of fellow Atheists, the possibility of leading a technically sinless life. The category of “Piety” this year goes, once again to the Church of Atheism, this time, on a technicality.

As for “zeal,” not even the ever-tenacious Witnesses of Jehovah can compare to the Atheists in their desire to win people over to their religion. It is quite interesting, to me, to observe an Atheist complain about how the “hypocritical Christians” are always “shoving their religion down everyone’s throat,” while never missing an opportunity to explain to everyone why they feel that a belief in anything that isn’t founded in, what they determine to be “science”, is a stupid belief. The Atheists of America are more zealous for the ever-changing science of the day, than “the religious folk” are for their reportedly immutable deities, placing them head and shoulders above the competition in this year’s “Zeal” category.

You may have noticed that the Atheists have sealed the victory in every category covered, thus far, and you will probably not be too incredibly surprised to see that they have also clinched the final category. This category, however, is the category in which they most excel, and is the primary engine of their successful recruitment of a large portion of our society, over recent decades. Through a very impressive “social-engineering” campaign, the American Atheists, in coordination with the Atheists of other developed Nations, have mounted the most successful and effective “psy-op” that the world has ever seen. Managing to have members placed in key positions in society, they have gained almost total control of the thought process, or “world-view” of any person who has trusted the general message promoted by TV, music, movies, or even outlets that are portrayed as trustworthy, such as news agencies, schools, bureaucratic agencies, or any number of other outlets that have come under Atheist control. With their social engineers in place, the Atheists are free to redefine certain terms, and then popularize their new definition almost effortlessly. For example, where the term “Science” had previously been defined, by Webster, as “knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation,” it now means something more like, “any theory that, if accurate, would disprove the existence of a power higher than Government”. Likewise, where the term “Religion” used to mean “scrupulous conformity,” it now is interpreted to mean something closer to, “a belief in something that isn’t real”. (Keep in mind that the Atheists are now the authority on what is real.) “Science” and “Religion,” traditionally, have not been contradictory. Science has always been viewed by people who have faith in a “Creator” of some sort, as “the study of creation”. Since the Atheists have gained control of our society, however, there has been an enormous effort to discredit people of faith, in general, based on their common belief in some form of “supernatural” creation, by having Atheism adopted as our first “National Religion”. Now, if you don’t believe that America has a National Religion, consider the fact that “Darwinian Evolution” has been mandated into the curriculum at our Public Schools and Universities. Again, this is a disproven theory, and only those who bitterly cling to their contempt for the idea that the universe is something that isn’t completely random, hold to the idea that “horses wanted to eat leaves, so they grew longer necks and became giraffes.”

In fact, Atheists have been so successful in their social engineering, that when one sees another praying in a public place, he feels a certain discomfort. The thought almost always crosses his mind, “Is that OK? Is he going to get in trouble for that?” The interpretation of “Separation of Church and State,” has been commonly interpreted by Atheists to mean “Church has no place in the State,” which varies, more than slightly, from Thomas Jefferson’s explanation to the Danbury Baptists.

I would hope to, by now, have relieved you of your reluctance in accepting your faith award, but for you die-hards: It is not only faith that you have in common with the other religious groups that you have so much contempt for. In fact, almost everything that the Atheists accuse “Religion” of, can be found, in abundance, in their own lives. Take, for example, the common accusation that Christians, in particular, are hypocrites. Based on the fact that Christians preach against sin, and yet, they sin, this accusation is accurate. But, is there no

hypocrisy in saying that God shouldn’t be mentioned in schools, while saying that Darwinian Evolution must be taught, unproven as it may be?

Now that I’ve established the faith of the Atheists as well as the fact that Atheism is a religion, I begrudgingly present to you, the clear winner of the “Doug O’Keefe’s 2014 American Faith Awards”:The Church of Modern-Day American Atheism!
