Is There A Direct Connection Between The White House And The IRS Scandal?

The IRS scandal just took a turn for the worse, exposing what may be further political abuse by the Obama Administration.

It has recently come to light that the Obama Administration’s Treasury Department is in possession of over 2,500 pages of documents that may show that the IRS and the White House were colluding to illegally obtain confidential taxpayer information and that the White House used that information in an attempt to harm its political enemies.

Turning over confidential taxpayer information (out ide of a few clearly outlined exceptions – none of which would include giving them to the White House to blast political opponents) is a violation of federal law, specifically 26 U.S.C. § 6103.

Just last Thursday, Obama ducked questions, faked offense and denied knowledge of the IG report exposing the IRS’ relentless targeting of the Tea Party, Conservatives, Christians, Jews, Pro-Lifers, i.e., everyone who opposed his ideology.

If the findings in the report from the American Spectator below are accurate, it would mean that Barack Hussein Obama, himself, collaborated and spearheaded the IRS scandal targeting those ordained his enemies.

Our system of government is straightforward.  Congress writes the law.  The President executes the law.  The judiciary interprets the law.

President Obama has said on multiple occasions, “I am President, I am not a king. I can’t [legislate] just by myself.”

Yet, after taking sweeping action on immigration unilaterally, he proudly proclaimed that he “change[d] the law.”

He had it right the first time.  Constitutional separation of powers and Supreme Court precedent make that clear.

The Supreme Court has held that “over no conceivable subject is the legislative power of Congress more complete than it is over” immigration.  Justice Frankfurter stated that “the formulation of these policies is entrusted exclusively to Congress.”

As I explained to Congress, our nation’s immigration laws are quite extensive and in need of reform through the legislative process. Differing policy preferences do not provide license to, as President Obama said, “change the law” on his own.

President Obama’s actions are unconstitutional.

President Obama’s actions are unlawful.

President Obama’s actions violate the separation of powers.

The reality is, impatient presidents may not violate the Constitution if they do not get their way.
