Google has lost the plot on Pay per Click (PPC) fraud

Show below are just a few of these ‘Google’ name all hosted on 199.59.241.235 and forgive me for not checking them all out myself but I believe you will find that 80% of these sites are fake Google search sites listing nothing but Google’s No-Sense links all supplied by Google to Cyber Squatters who’s mission is to rake in the profit from unsuspecting sites who are doing a spot of advertising with the commission being laundered via Google-Lead-Services and not only that but Google in my option is committing mass deception by pretending the source for many of these clicks come from Google themselves and not the original fake site that listed the links.

Remember this is just the tip of the iceberg and all those domains are hosted on the same IP address but what really gets under my skin is not Google shooting itself in the foot or people being too trusting of Google to not only provide marketing leads but then using Google Analytic to report on marketing campaign success rates (Hen, Fox Chicken).

What gets under my skin is knowing many of these fakes sites are being used to place viruses on our machines that come to life at night and run around clicking these links whilst Google sits back and taking in the revenue and fooling people they can be trusted by providing politically censored “safe Browsing” lists to our browsers, like 300 times a day, all for our protection of course.

Let’s take a look at one of these sites in more detail and see what is going on under the bonnet.

Well to begin with these site have no content themselves so it is not like Mrs Smiths knitting club placing a few Google adverts at the top of the page so that Mrs Smith can gain a bit of advertising revenue from Google to keep the site running and visitors are able to buy cheap local wool so no wonder Mrs Smiths income has dried up with all these fake search sites and virus clicks, She’s not happy.

Would anyone like to guess just what Google maps has to do with Manhood enlargement or would you like to accept my explanation that all these sites are dynamic and Google does not care if the content they provide is specific to the sites description or not and each one of these sites may be used to display any of the several million Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Links Google has on its books and the only thing Google gets right in all of this is working out the users location from their IP-Address to source local adverts and recording the Google-ClientID of the site ready to pay commission for the click.

Before I move on in my next article to talk about the lack of techniques Google should be using to ensure customers are protected from Click fraud I would like to expose Google for opening up a browser security exploited that allows malicious scripts access to your IP-Address.

Requests sent to Google’s http://domains.googlesyndication.com/domainads are returned as JSON strings to the browser and the response often includes the IP-Address of the user.

That’s another shoot in the foot Google and kind of makes the famous Google Chrome incognito mode look silly when Google is assisting client scripts gain access to peoples IP-Address or maybe Google should had consulted with security experts as to why browsers try to restrict access from script to IP-Addresses.

Google is estimated to have hundreds of thousands of servers across the globe and I can appreciate the difficulties involved in trying to synchronise all those servers to detect machine clicks and I have several recommendations to make to Google and the first one is to get rid of these massive syndicates of fake search sites who are able to profit on a huge scale at the expense of everyone else and Google should also be more aware than most that this illegal activity is being logged on servers across the world and this will come back to bite Google on the bum if it does not change its operational procedures and start listening to what customers and people like myself are telling Google.
