Charles Henry Bennett, a 57-year-old TSA worker at Orlando International Airport, is being held without bail after he reportedly confessed to a version of the described events, even acknowledging his shocking request. The girl was allegedly 13 at the time. According to a police report discussed in area media, Bennett allegedly grabbed the girl’s breasts from behind and solicited her.

TSA employee accused of kidnap, assault
A TSA employee remained hospitalized today after being accused of kidnapping a young female in Atlanta, then taking her to his Hogansville residence and sexually assaulting her.
Randall Scott King, whose age and street address were not given, abducted the woman Wednesday evening from a MARTA parking lot at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, police said.
The alleged victim said after the assault, she was released by her captor, who gave her a suicide note and instructions on where to deliver it.

Colorado Springs man allegedly sabotaged TSA computers

A former employee of the Transportation Security Administration has been indicted by the Denver federal grand jury for attempting to sabotage TSA computers that enable TSA airport personnel to spot potential terrorists before they board airliners.
Douglas James Duchak, 46, of Colorado Springs, worked for the TSA from August 2004 through October 2009.

Cindy Moran-Sanchez, her husband Jose Sanchez and her sister Elizabeth Moran-Toala were part of a scheme to look the other way as drug smugglers imported cocaine and heroin into Miami International and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airports in return for kickbacks from Latin American drugs lords.
Moran-Sanchez was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer at MIA and is considered the ringleader.

What would you say if I told you that one of the federal agents who ventured to travel writer Steven Frischling’s house to issue a subpoena and search his electronic equipment for the source of the agency’s leaked security directive (SD) also happened to leave his notebook lying in a public place?
Would you define such a misstep as complete ineptitude?
Would you wonder how the agency protects the information it gleans from other – more important – investigations (you know, ones involving threats against our nation)?
A source with knowledge of the situation tells me that one of the two agents tasked with discovering the source of the SD leak left his notebook in a public area.

Rep. Jimmy Duncan, who represents the district where I used to live in Tennessee, has blasted the government’s Air Marshals Service, calling it “probably the most needless, useless agency in the entire Federal Government.” He says:
…listen to this paragraph from a front-page story in the USA Today last November: “Since 9/11, more than three dozen Federal air marshals have been charged with crimes, and hundreds more have been accused of misconduct. Cases range from drunken driving and domestic violence to aiding a human-trafficking ring and trying to smuggle explosives from Afghanistan.”
Actually, there have been many more arrests of Federal air marshals than that story reported, quite a few for felony offenses. In fact, more air marshals have been arrested than the number of people arrested by air marshals.

Detroit airport cop and TSA worker accused of stealing pizza and punching clerk

Ladies and gentlemen, we have two new contenders for the “dumbest TSA workers of the year” award. An airport cop and TSA worker both showed up at a Hartland Township, MI gas station to buy some booze in order to continue their buzz (which means they drove there drunk already). The two paid for the booze, then Renee Zima, the TSA officer, is accused of stealing two pieces of pizza, and leaving the store.
When the store clerk approached them demanding payment for the items, Zima flashed her TSA badge, claiming she was with Homeland Security. When the clerk tried to get their plate number, these two idiots bent the plate, then stood in front of it, blocking his view. When the clerk went back outside, Zima’s partner in crime (and off duty airport police officer) Richard Frederick punched him in the face.
The funny part is that all the effort put into covering up their license plate was completely useless, as these two smart criminals already identified themselves by paying for their booze purchase with a credit card, and I’m sure all the surveillance footage doesn’t help their case that much either

SEATTLE — A former supervisor for the federal Transportation Security Administration has pleaded guilty to stealing $20,000 worth of jewelry and other items from checked luggage at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
The U.S. Attorney’s office in Seattle says 50-year-old Randy Pepper entered the plea Monday at U.S. District Court in Seattle.
