Nikola Tesla's Hoax

In regards to Nikola Tesla’s unlimited free energy claim (http://bit.ly/euqN9s), Rodney Inefuku of Hawaii proved his theory wrong.  Here is what he wrote me:

Don’t buy the $49 book.  This is a con job… the video is pure bullshit.  The circuit in the video is a rectifier… it converts or rectifies AC electromagnetic voltage waves perhaps from a close-by radio station that it ‘catches’ with that flimsy antennae,… into “DC” voltage… which charges up the capacitors in the circuit.

It is not taking energy from the sun as the commentator says.  Rays from the sun is not electromagnetic waves… it is radiation.  The circuit shown in the video is basically what your radio does… rectifying electromagnetic waves in the air…”tuning” into the electromagnetic wave of some radio station.

Now, what the guy in the video did with the multimeter was to measure the voltage the circuit produces… not current.  He says nothing about current… because this rectifier circuit shown can produce only a miniscule amount of current.  This circuit can “tickle” the liquid crystal display (LCD) in the cell phone as shown in the video…as the LCD in the cell phone takes very little power to run.  How much power… how long does your liquid crystal display wristwatch run before the small battery inside the watch runs out?… almost forever right?

The circuit in the video most definitely will not run your refrigerator or washing machine… as these kinds of items require a lot of power.  What is power?  Power in watts is voltage times current.  Voltage that we get from Hawaiian Electric is 120 volts.  So for even a 100 watt light bulb, it would require 120 volts at 0.83 amps (100 watts/120 volts = 0.83 amps) from Hawaiian Electric.  No way can that circuit in the video produce power like that.

Suppose the circuit in the video can produce .001 amps.  That means you would have to somehow hook up 830 of these circuits to produce the required 0.83 amps to turn on one 100 watt light bulb.  Imagine what is required for a stove or refrigerator or washing machine or even your television.  I must say, this was fun to read and watch though…  I may be retired, but I still remember some of this stuff.  Hope my explanation is clear enough…. and is helpful.

You saved my butt!  I was going to put that information out on one of my newsletters to my distribution list without doing the analysis you did.  However, something held me back.  Then, I received your email below this morning and saw why I had that hesitation.  Thanks!

Even though the radiation from the sun is on the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum (EMS), the sun’s radiation is, I believe, ultraviolet (UV) radiation (among others), but quite a bit away from the part of the EMS that the EM waves (or radio waves) reside.  If I remember correctly, the energy on the EMS can be represented as either waves or bundles of energy called photons.  Radio energy is usually represented in EM waves while the sunlight is represented in photons or bundles of energy.  If you see any error in this thinking, please point it out to me.  Thanks.

I cannot find any error in your logical thinking process you show above.  You did an excellent analysis.  You are a genius, Rodney!
