In the Microsoft System Center new, the System Center 2012 Orchestrator Integration Pack for Active Directory Beta is now availabe through Microsoft Download Center.

The Integration Pack for Active Directory is an add-on for System Center 2012 Orchestrator that enables you to connect System Center Orchestrator to your Active Directory Server to automate its management.

Microsoft Solution Accelerator and the System Center teams also announced the beta of the Microsoft System Center 2012 IT GRC Process Pack for Service Manager.

“This solution provides end-to-end IT governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management and automation for desktop and datacenter computers, process, and technology requirements across your datacenter, private cloud, and desktop computers. In addition, this update includes new capabilities to enable your IT staff to quickly prepare for an audit,” the Redmond company stated.

“Deeply integrated with MicrosoftSystem Center Service Manager, the IT GRC Process Pack translates complex regulations and standards into authoritative control objectives and control activities for the IT organization’s compliance program.”

The IT GRC Process Pack beta helps customers understand and bind complex business objectives to their Microsoft infrastructure in an operationally efficient manner.

Adding, the “2012 release of the IT GRC Process Pack for Service Manager includes over 400 authority documents, including updates for PCI 2.0, FISMA, FedRAMP, and many others to help you as you start building your compliance program,” the company informed.

This new release will enable organizations to:

• Address maintenance windows in your GRC process leveraging rich exception management functionality
• Generate comprehensive trend reports, driving richer analysis of their compliance over time
• Stay current with the latest regulations, standards, and automated compliance checks for various Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, and more using built-in update functionality.

New and existing users can download the beta release of the System Center 2012 IT GRC Process Pack for Service Manager from the Connect site, or Self-Register for the System Center 2012 Connect site here.

Alongside the other System Center components, Service Manager content and materials are being hosted on the new “System Center in the Datacenter and Cloud” Connect Site, revealed Microsoft.

Adding, “The current Service Manager connect site will retired shortly and you will need to register with this new site to continue to access downloads and materials made available through the connect site,” Microsoft said.
