Reports Suggest Google Working On Home Entertainment Device

Google is to introduce their home entertainment device. Critics compare Google’s attempt of dealing with home entertainment device sounds like an Apple TV without video capabilities, though the sense may induce us.

Google’s media device will be aimed at streaming music via Bluetooth & Wi-Fi, as well as connecting to other electronics of home. Release of the device may occur later this year, as analysts anticipate. The media device will stream music from online Music service of Google, which came up in beta version last year.

Google attempts of working on home entertainment device have been published in the popular tabloids- Wall Street Journal & New York Times. The news first came to the surface last week during Google’s filing of an FCC application for an entertainment device, & now the sources familiar with Google’s plan bolstered the rumor.

Eventually, the streaming box will be able to handle video, possibly through software update. Google’s entertainment device may have connections with Google’s Android@Home project that was announced by the company last year.
