Max Payne 3 Bests Diablo 3 in UK all Formats Charts
Max Payne 3, the multi-platform shooter from RockStar Games, bests Blizzard’s new Diablo 3, as it takes top spot in the UK all formats charts.
It was the second biggest launch of UK just behind Mass Effect 3. Max Payne 3 outdid its predecessor by a figure of 10-1, and it’s the first in the Payne series to top the UK charts. Diablo 3 entered at the second spot, selling 8000 copies, less than Max Payne 3, although the official UK charts include only retail copies and digital download numbers are not tracked. FIFA Street is at third place and the last weeks champ Sniper Elite V2 in forth. FIFA 12 rounded up the top five.
Prototype 2 slips from 4th to 6th, Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 continue to sell as they take 7th and 8th place respectively, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations took the 9th spot and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is the last of the top 10.
