LIME reports Voice Traffic up 71% in Second Quarter of 2012AD - ACS-Xerox loses contract to TELUS International as LIME becomes Mavado Money Changer

It appears that Telecom Provider LIME’ decision to pre-emptively lower its Cross Network and International Calling rates and by extension its On-Net Calling rates before the Sunday July 15^th 2012AD date as noted inmy blog articleentitled “LIME’s new TALK EZ Plan drops Cross Network Calling to JA$2.99 – Digicel’s Game of Thrones vs LIME Return of the King” and myGeezam blogarticle entitled“LIME drops Cross Network Calling Rate to JA$6.99 to kick off a 3 year Battle for Mobile Market Dominance” is beginning to pay off.

The Telecom Operator is beginning to see, as it claims significant increases in its revenue and Voice Network Traffic levels as reported in the article “LIME’s prepaid traffic up 71%”, published Wednesday, August 15, 2012, The Jamaica Observer.

Numbers tell a more clearer picture of the success of LIME more aggressive pricing strategy which began with LIME offering LIME XL combine with a drop in 3G Data rates as of Tuesday May 1^st 2012AD of as described inmy blog articleentitled “LIME launches XL Value Campaign and slashes 3G Mobile Prepaid Data come May 1 – Shadows of the Old Republic as LIME does Baby Cham’s Wine”.

So here goes nothing as I dish LIME proported increases over the Second Quarter of 2012AD when compared to the Second Quarter of 2012AD:

1. 21% increase in Mobile Voice Network Traffic

2. 18% per cent increase in APRU (Average Revenue Per User)

3. 21% year-on year increase in Mobile Revenues

4. 34% increase in Gross Revenues for Mobile part of LIME

Shareholders, who were most likely angry at LIME’s latest shareholder meeting should be “please like puss” as it’s an indication that their investments are not for naught but is increasingly showing signs of steadily bearing fruit after a prolonged drought.

So much so that Telecom Provider LIME had moved its Call Center Contract from ACS-Xerox to Canadian TELUS International located in the Montego Bay Free Zone aka JDI (Jamaica Digiport International) as stated in the article “LIME cuts new call centre deal”, published Wednesday, August 15, 2012 BY NEKIESHA REID Business reporter, The Jamaica Observer.

Readers of my blog may remember that the exclusive license held by the JDI on the Montego Bay Free Zone had been removed as of Thursday June 7^th 2012AD as stated inmy blog articleentitled “Montego Bay Freezone Liberalized as LIME’s Jamaica DigiPort International gives up its Monopoly – Call Centers Age of Empire as Mandeville Beckons”. Competitors in the Call Center part of the ICT (Information Computer and Technology) Sector are free to come to Jamaica to set up shop in the soon to expand Montego Bay Free Zone which is undergoing planned expansion work as well as elsewhere in Jamaica.

Already US based Convergys is in the island building out its 1000 Agent Call Center as stated in my blog article entitled “Convergys and Aegis Communications Call Centers Coming – FDI powered Call Center Renaissance in Jamaica thanks to our Good English” and Data Outsourcing companies in the form ofSydney Australia based website Freelancer.com and San Francisco, California based MobileWorks as per my blog articleentitled“Data Outsourcing comes to Jamaica via MobileWorks and Freelancer.com – Flexi-Work propelled by Crowsourcing and MicroWorking Anaconda”.

Telecom Provider LIME’s decision is most likely due to the increasing Voice Traffic and possible quality issues with ACS-Xerox, the company that has LIME’s Call Center contract. So clearly their strategy is working for Telecom Provider LIME.

This however to the detriment of ACS-Xerox, who must now realize that the increased demands due to LIME’s increasing traffic demands means that they have to operate on a more disciplined level equivalent to Fullgram Solutions, the Call Center Contractor that now handles all of Telecom Provider Digicel’s Prepaid and Postpaid Customers as well as Digicel Broadband and Mobile 3G Internet as explained in my blogarticle entitled “Digicel cuts 120 Call Center Jobs – Fullgram Solutions to benefit as Antonio Graham speaks of an AEPP future by the Ocean”.

It remains to be seen if Telecom Provider LIME will have the same level of success in IPTV Streaming LIME TV in 2013AD as noted in my Geezam blogarticle entitled LIME Jamaica’s 2013AD Launch of IPTV “LIME TV” is a Streaming “TV Anywhere” Revolution.

Hopefully too, Telecom Provider LIME will fulfill its other expansionist plans as suggested inmy blog articleentitled “LIME’s new TALK EZ Plan drops Cross Network Calling to JA$2.99 – Digicel’s Game of Thrones vs LIME Return of the King” and myGeezam blogarticle entitled“LIME drops Cross Network Calling Rate to JA$6.99 to kick off a 3 year Battle for Mobile Market Dominance”!
