LG Launches Optimus G Android Phone: Features & Specifications
LG Electronics launched a new powerful Android phone – Optimus G in the South Korea. It is a 4G compatible device with some supreme specs and features that’s why LG described Optimus G as a “premium flagship device”.
The Optimus G announced in the last month and because of its powerful hardware Android fans showed a lot of interest in the device. Normally LG is well known for its budget-friendly and smart devices, but now it looks like that LG is trying to compete with other smartphone makers like Apple and Samsung that are well known because of their top-notch and solid devices.
The LG Optimus G features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 (320ppi) that allows you to enjoy HD videos at extreme quality, a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor that makes it real fast, and 2 GB of DDR RAM for efficient performance.
This device comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and ability to shoot 1080p video, in addition 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calling facility is also provided. The Optimus G has a 32 GB of built-in storage space, but interestingly there is MicroSD card slot availability, so you can’t increase the storage space. Battery timing of the Optimus G is 15 hours of talk time and 335 hours of standby with a 2,100 mAh battery.
The operating system of the Optimus G is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and there are no words about the availability of the Jelly Bean update for the device. Other features of the Optimus G include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, DLNA, NFC, LTE and MHL.
The price tag of the LG Optimus G is 999,900 KRW ($895 USD) and it will hit the South Korean markets in the next week.
