Cherry Mobile W500 Titan, 5-inch dual-core Android phone for Php6,499
Aside from the ultra-affordable Cherry Mobile Flare, also announced earlier was the 5-inch Cherry Mobile W500 Titan for people who wants a bigger screen but on a tight budget as this phone will retail for only Php6,499.
Just like the Flare, there’s nothing special with the construction of the W500 Titan. You do however get a flip cover for its 5-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen. The back has a rubbery feel to it to prevent prints and add traction to the unit.
And similar to the Flare, the Titan also has a dual-core processor but this time it’s a MediaTek MT6577 clocked at 1GHz. You’ll also get 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM with storage expansion via microSD. This phone is also dual-SIM, dual-standby by the way. Rounding up the feature list is a 5-megapixel camera with flash and a decent 2,350mAh battery.
The Cherry Mobile W500 Titan will be available on the first week of November for just Php6,499. That’s way cheaper than the Lenovo S880 which is also a dual-SIM 5-incher but with a single-core MediaTek processor.
