First Multi-Docking and Charging Speaker System announced by IDAPT, available for Pre-Order Today

Way back in July of last year we reviewed a product from IDAPT called the IDAPT i4. It was a multi use charging docking station. It featured interchangeable clips that you could click int he unit to charge various devices. It was pretty cool and did its job, but all it did was charge various devices at once. We haven’t been paying much attention to what IDAPT has been up to lately, until now.

Their newest products, the S1 and S2, sure do pique our interest. They have the similar base docking ability that the i4 had and offers up a USB port for a charging cable. The S1 has one top docking plug and a USB port and the S2 has two on top and the USB port. Each one is designed a bit different and offers different aspects.

• 3 audio sources: Bluetooth, Line-In and for S2 models also FM Radio
• Stereo class D amplifier
• Response bandwidth 20-20.000Hz ± 3dB/useable bass to 47 Hz (f10))
• Audio encoding: Stereo for S2 models (mono audio for S1 models)
• Signal-to-Noise ratio: 102dB
• Audio adjustments for Bass and Treble
• Audio output power (RMS): 10W for S1 models and 20W for S2 models

Power supply specifications:

• Power source 100-240V – 50-60Hz, 1A Output 12V 4A for S2 models (3A for S1 models)
• Charging power output: 5V 4A 20W for S2 models (3A for S1 models)

They look pretty darn good really. I like the external amp looking volume controls on the top a lot and the FM radio addition in the S2. Check out a sound test video they put together. It sounds pretty good, but you can never really tell in a video just how good.
