O+ 8.12, 4.5-inch dual-core Android for Php11,995
There’s a new mobile phone player in town that goes by the name of O+ or O Plus. According to their Facebook Page, they are a technology company in the United States that’s just starting to roll out their mobile phone line in Asia.
They recently launched their latest offerings including their top-of-the-line O+ 8.12 smartphone. It’s a 4.5-inch Android phone running on Ice Cream Sandwich and is also upgradeable to Jelly Bean.
Handling it was good with its thin body and a weight that’s not heavy for its size. The slanted design actually reminded me of Sony Ericsson Xperia phones.
One of the highlighted feature of O+ phones is the Air Shuffle. This allows you to do things on your phone with a wave of your hand. Take a photo, play the next track, browse through pictures, change radio station simply by waving your hand in front of the camera. Cute but it’s still faster to swipe using your fingers.
The O+ 8.12 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, comes with an 8-megapixel camera and a 1850mAh battery. Wasn’t able to check its internal storage but it does come with a microSD slot inside.
Unfortunately, I was told that all pertinent info about the phone is included in their press kit but couldn’t find any so specs would be scarce until they get back to me. All I can grab are the limited info from their website. Will just update this post once I get more details.
