CES 2013: HyperJuice 2, Pico And Plug
The gadget fiend lives and dies by the battery. And all too often, that battery tuckers out far too early. HyperJuice has been working for years on preventing that inevitable death with their wide range of various sized battery packs made specifically for Macs and iOS devices. At CES 2013, HyperJuice took the covers off their latest loves, the HyperJuice 2, Pico and Plug.
Hyper Juice 2
The HyperJuice 2 is noteworthy for it’s ability to charge MacBook and two iPads at the same time. (Any two other USB devices can be run alongside a Mac as well.) The insane amount of electrical power is made possible by dual 12W USB ports for faster charging of iPads and USB devices as well as higher wattage output like that required by your typical MacBook. Modular construction of the HyperJuice 2 is a nice touch as it allows a certain degree of future proofing by allowing the end user to swap out lithium-ion battery cells and logic board as needed. Hyper Juice Pico
Taking things down a few notches is the HyperJuice Pico. This small, 3,000 mAh sized battery pack features a design that HyperJuice claims is the smallest for a battery its size as well as the first to incorporate an Apple Lightning connector. Other perks include a second USB port to charge another USB device, 15W maximum output with 3-phone simultaneous charging capabilities and its own built-in USB cable to charge itself on any computer willing to donate a USB port for a few hours. An “invisible” strip of charge indicator lights resides underneath the shell and glows through when summoned and disappears into the darkness when not needed. Availability is currently listed as Q1 2013 for $69.95.
HyperJuice Plug
Changing pace, the HyperJuice Plug is a great battery pack for those wanting to carry the least amount of cables as possible as well as the most amount of battery power in the smallest size possible. The 10,400 mAh battery is much bigger than the (comparatively) small outer casing suggests and a built-in AC outlet plug makes charging the HyperJuice Plug back up super simple. According to HyperJuice, the 10,400 mAh Plug will extend your 1st/2nd-gen iPad a solid 15 hours and your 3rd/4th-gen iPads 9 hours. Meanwhile, a larger 15,600 mAh Plug pushes iPad 1/2 runtime to 23 hours and iPad 3/4 runtime to 14 hours. For the packs themselves, expect the 10,400 mAh model to take about four hours to fully recharge while the 10,600 mAh pack will take a bit longer at 6 hours.

As always, HyperJuice uses only the best materials, in this case cool, sleek aluminum anodized with various different colors. It also helps they have some of the most spacious, versatile and smallest battery packs on the planet. And that is why they continue to dominate the Mac scene.
