Kanex can be slotted into the ordinary category of manufacturer of display cables but it sure can rise above this and dish out something extraordinary too. The latest surprise from it is the meDrive, a gadget that creates a private cloud for the interchange of files between your Apple handsets and your computer.

Its WebDAV support enables you to access your iWork documents from your private cloud and with the help of port 80 this can be retrieved when you are on the move. The box has to be plugged into the router and voila! All will be done through the auto-discovery support from the free app. A pen drive or equivalent can be hot-plugged into the dedicated port or an additional hub can be used for enhancement of memory.
