Sony’s curious Announcement about the Xperia ZL

They showed this handset off at its launch in south east Asia but admirers got to learn that the Sony Xperia that was being exhibited was only a prototype. But the red beauty of a thing was fawned over and deservedly so. Their response it got made observers to believe that the handset will so go into full production and introduced into the marker but Sony seems to have other plans.

Reports suggests that the conglomerate are not looking to get the Xperia into the hands of eager consumers anytime soon. To be more specific, they told a blog dedicated to the Xperia that they do not plan to expand its launch beyond the south east Asian market anytime soon. This means only those in this corner of Asia would have official access to the handset.

Observers would say that this is a curious stance to take as the Sony Xperia looks good enough to be eaten alive anywhere by consumers. It may be that Sony has other plans like the introduction of subsequent models or versions of the handset worldwide. But if they don’t do anything anytime soon, consumers might be forced to seek other ways of getting their hands on the handset.
