CNN Android phone app now has live TV streaming access

Every now and then there is some explosive global event and we feel the need to be clued in 24 x 7. Like the cruise ship that ran aground recently. It is at times like that we really appreciate the reach and size of CNN. Now it has extended its presence and is available on Android too.

Having launched live streaming of both CNN and HLN on iOS as much as two years ago it now has an update for Android phone app which also has the classic “This is CNN” greeting by James Earl Jones. To make the most of this service you will need to subscribe to a participating cable TV service in order to actually watch the feed. But it is both simple to get started and worth it to be able to see Anderson Cooper on the go.
