Mad Catz® unveils the F.R.E.Q.7 Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Windows® PC and Smart Devices

A little over a year ago, Mad Catz released the F.R.E.Q. 5 gaming headset. And now, even before you can adjust it to your head size, it’s already reportedly ready to announce its model F.R.E.Q. 7. So what happened to No 6 one wonders? Word has it that it had something to do with the Dolby Pro Logic IIx processing that caused it to skip one variation.

The new GameSmart™ Headset features Dolby® Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound and Multiple EQ Settings. The surround effect widens stereo and 5.1-channel signals to 7.1 channels. This is important for gamers who demand only the best audio precision. The F.R.E.Q. 7 also brings software-driven EQ to give greater depth to sound and more meaning to voice and music in computer games. It also has a separate volume adjustment for chat and the main action. The detachable in-line cable allows for easy conversion from USB to 3.5mm to support stereo audio on iPhone®, tablets and most Smart Devices.
