[New App] Sulia Quick Launch; A dynamic content channel lockscreen Replacement

The Android lockscreen is a thing of beauty. It has evolved over time from being a simple screen that kept you from opening apps and has involved into a whole separate experience. Having options to change out apps that can be launched directly from the lockscreen, various bits of information like the weather and even widgets. While many Android devices have newer features and functions that some of us don’t have, there are always solutions available in the Play Store to make your lockscreen as cool or as boring as you want it to be. An app by Conduit called Sulia Quick Launch was just released to the Play Store today and it is looking pretty slick.

Sulia Quick Launch in a lockscreen replacement app for and Android device running Android 2.2 – 4.2. Giving the older devices a shot at some greatness. The app changes your lockscreen to the one see in the image. A simple 4-point unlock is located right above the time and date. Hold it down and you can unlock your device, open your camera, SMS or phone app. Pretty straight forward and one of the more popular unlock options that people cling too. Where the app is different from a standard lockscreen is the dynamic content channel that appears at the top.

You can set up 4 different topics of interest for the media section to pull. Typical things like Technology, Movies, Fashion, Gossip Sports, Football and so on. There are 20 topics total to choose from. The app goes one step further though and offers you your social feeds from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Swipe left and right to check out other stories or flip-up and down to change topics or check out your social feeds. All in one app, all on your lockscreen. Down side, you can only have 4 topics running. So if you want Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, that will only leave you room for one media topic. Still, it is pretty darn sweet.

When you first launch the app Sulia takes you through a quick tutorial and helps you get things set up. You can change what topics or feeds you are viewing from the lockscreen by hitting menu and topics on the bottom right. There is even a small slider on the left to change your ringer from normal to vibrate to silent. Sulia is a pretty great little app for some quick look info with some great interactions. It doesn’t hurt that Sulia is free either.

Be sure to follow the simple set up instructions when you first launch the app. Most newer devices have a setting to disable your stock lockscreen. That can be important so you don’t have a double lockscreen issue.
