New Chromebook From Lenovo

With four versions of the Google Chromebook currently available, you might ask why would there be need of another! Well for one good reason this version is from Lenovo, so it comes with the classic ThinkPad look and the reliability that the brand has to offer the end user. Lenovo have jumped into the ready made market with the X131e Chromebook it comes with an 11.6 inch screen, Intel Celeron processing power and 16 GB SSD for storage etc. But what sets the X131e Chromebook apart from the others in the range is the ruggedness of the machine, it comes with reinforced hinges and is housed in a tough rubber casing making it ideal for students and for anyone whose jobs takes them outside.

 

So we know little bit more about the Lenovo X131e Chromebook, all that remains is to take a closer look at the features. The X131e comes with an easy to use 11.6 inch display that offers a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions. Naturally it is going to running on the Google Chrome operating system and will be powered by the capable Intel Celeron processor. There is a useable 16 GB solid state drive (SSD) for storage purposes and getting onto the net is easy with the Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless LAN and Ethernet LAN.

Other features include the built in HD web camera, two super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, a handy standard style USB 2.0 port and the essential HDMI & VGA display ports. The laptop is around 1.3 inches thick and weighs in at just 3.9 lbs (1.8 kg) with the battery pack in place that Lenovo claim should be good for up to 6.5 hours of battery life. This interesting laptop is available at the end of February from the Google Store where it starts from around $460, which includes the $30 for management console and support. This compares favourably with other laptops in the Chromebook range.
