Somewhere on this planet sits these days, a hacker, and varies between pride and fear. Pride, because he has done something that no one has done before him. Afraid because he has failed to fulfill laws, specifically in almost every country in the world.

The man has the Internet survey. The entire public network, just as it looked in 2012. A Herculean task. The man, let’s call him Mr. Carna used, but a tool that he had fashioned himself – on illegal manner: He sat computer around the globe that are not theirs.

He had wanted to try it once, how many computers with a default password of “root” are actually connected to the Internet, he wrote in a research report on the project type . And found that there are hundreds of thousands of computers that are actually backed up only with the most common of all default passwords – or were completely without password protection.

Not sure how or why this is illegal but nice job whoever did it. -Mort
