Facebook Introduces New News Feed

Facebook has announced the introduction of new design elements with regards to their news feed. According to the social network, the new design elements were introduced with the aim of effectively engaging users. The designs have already been rolled out but they have not launched it across board. Rather, they adopted the measure of a gradual roll out and some Facebook users have already started using it.

The new elements goes beyond the news feed as the images are now larger and there are now more prominent check-ins. In addition to the above, the videos are now larger while there is more detailed information from various publications. Users can now have more friends displayed without them having to click on the profile.

Facebook was reported to have said that users now have more to choose from with the introduction of these new elements. They went on to say that it is richer, simpler to handle and far more appealing to the eyes. As for the news feed, users now have more choices and a say on what is displayed. They can decide to select the feed they like be it photos, news, games etc.

There navigation menu seems to have been redesigned with mobile users in mind although they went for standardized user experience across various devices. The company is obviously excited about the new set of designs they have just introduced.
