Nokia Lumia 810 LTE not coming to T-Mobile

There is some bad news for the owners of Lumia 810 who bought the expensive device on T-Mobile’s word that a software update will enable LTE support on their devices. It is turning out that despite the device being ready, and a regulatory approval at hand, T-Mobile is not going to release an update.

This isn’t an April Fool prank, and you are not the only one scratching their head at this startling revelation. UnCarrier representative first announced that a software update was in the pipeline back in January. The company stuck to that position until last week. The latest revelation shows the company has changed its mind. Without an LTE service, the smartphone field on T-Mobile is limited to Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung’s Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S4, HTC One and BlackBerry Z10. When asked if Lumia 810 buyers will ever get an LTE software update, the company didn’t respond. The customers can continue to use the company’s HSPA+ 42 network.
