You may have seen or heard of our site cases.clove.co.uk which offers custom smartphone and tablet cases.

This post aims to answers all your questions. If you have one which we have not answered, then please ask it in the comments below.

What is cases.clove.co.uk?

Cases.clove.co.uk is an online tool and shopping portal for creating your own personalised smartphone or tablet case.

You can upload your own images, add images we hold within the designer as well as change the colour and text, position and much more.

Using the service will allow you to create a truly personalised case design which is printed to order and delivered to your door.

What phones and tablets do you have cases for?

The list of phones and tablets that cases are offered for is always changing as new phones come to market and older phones are phased out.

Regretfully due to certain constraints it is not possible to offer custom cases for all phones and tablets. We and our partner company who manufacture the cases are always aiming to bring cases for new devices as soon as possible.

Due to the nature some cases will become available a few weeks after the phone is launched as the cases have to be accurately modelled and tested with the final production units.

My phone or tablet is not listed, why?

The list of phones and tablets that cases are offered for is always changing as new phones come to market and older phones are phased out.

It could be that we have simply not made a case yet for your phone as you may have a very new model and it takes a few weeks before we can support the very latest phones.

Being UK based, our creator is aimed at devices launched within the UK.  It is not feasible to support all international variants of phones, but many international phones for example Samsung are identical to UK phones, although the model number may be different, so it could well be possible that we can produce a case for you. It will be your responsibility to check compatibility.

Regretfully we can not support some cases for simple business reasons.  Why we don’t doubt you may want a case for your phone it has to be viable for tooling and production to take place.  Thus inevitably we will not be able to offer cases for every phone.

How do I use the creator?

We like to think that our creator is fairly self explanatory and simple.  It has been designed to provide useful helps and tips in all the places we believe is necessary.

The main steps are:

1. Select your phone or tablet
2. Add any colour to the case you may want.
3. Add any text or images to the case that you choose.  This can be content you upload yourself or take from our online library.
4. Position (scale, rotate, add effects) and layer the content on the case until you are happy.
5. Proceed through the online checkout.

How do I get the best results?

All graphics and text on the online creator are optimised to come out at a high quality when printed.

If you upload any of your own we advise ensuring the content has a resolution of 300dpi to ensure the best results.

Lower quality will be accepted but this will affect the final quality.

To get the best results, you need to spend time making sure you are happy with everything as once it has been submitted changes can not be made.

Be careful if you rotate, re-position and stretch items as all of these can have an effect.

What is the cost?

The cost of each case depends on the phone or tablet.  Essentially the bigger the phone or tablet then the higher the price as more materials are required.

Prices do change without notice due to changes in material and other associated costs.

We will at all times endeavour to offer the best value that we can.

As a rough guide, at the time of writing the average case is £20 (excluding delivery).

Can I get a discount?

We can not offer discounts for individual orders unless we have any promotional offers running.

Any promotional offers will be publicised on cases.clove.co.uk and other affiliated Clove websites.

If you have a large volume requirement then please contact us to discuss this.

I need a large quantity can I get a discount or special price?

If you require a large quantity (50+) of a custom cases then we can look to put together a special price/deal for you.

Can I buy items from Clove at the same time?

The custom case design service is managed on our behalf by an approved third party. They print and dispatch the case orders. Due to this we are unable to ship a case at the same time as any order from Clove.

However you can place orders separately and they will both be shipped as soon as possible.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail airmail post from the UK and handed to the local mail services within your country.

Depending upon your country and distance from the UK, the delivery times will vary.  Please allow sufficient time for delivery.

Deliveries outside of the UK will take on average 5-14 days. We do have to allow however up to 25 working days for delivery to take place.

Will I be charged tax?

If delivering to the UK, the cost includes taxes.

If shipping to a country outside of the UK then the price does not include taxes, but you could be liable for import duties when it arrives in your country.  However the size and value of the case in addition to the mail service it is shipped by means it is highly unlikely that you will be charged taxes.

How do I pay?

Currently all payments are managed through PayPal.  If you have a PayPal account, just enter your details during the checkout process.  If you do not have a PayPal account, do not worry, you can still pay.

The amount charged is in Great British Pounds (GBP £).

Your PayPal account/card issuer will convert this cost based on their exchange rate at the time of order to your local currency.

Can it be made and shipped quicker?

If you are having the case delivered within the UK then there is a premium delivery option which is offered at the checkout.

We regret that outside of the UK there is no premium delivery option.

Please be aware due to the custom nature of the product there is an element of time that goes into creating the product.

Therefore If a premium delivery option is selected for an order placed on a Monday (before 2pm), it will be dispatched Tuesday for next working day delivery to arrive on Wednesday.

I have a query about the order?

Does Clove manage the whole order?

Cases.clove.co.uk is branded with the Clove name and is in part managed by us.  However the underlying site is provided and managed by a third party who has been approved by us.

They handle and produce the case as well as dispatch it.

Therefore there can be delays in response to order queries, or technical issues but all are dealt with as swiftly as possible.

Your details will be handled securely and in the same manner as if we were ourselves.

Who makes the cases?

For business reasons we can not reveal the name of the company behind the technology and printing service, however they are a recognised case producer and have been approved by Clove.

How long does it take to produce?

The nature of this service means that cases do take additional time to be created, they can not just be picked off the shelf.

This therefore means that most orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days of receipt.

If premium delivery is selected then this will be dispatched sooner.

Why can you not ship it the same day?

The cases are completely custom.  Once you submit your artwork it has to be processed, checked then specifically printed on a case for your phone.

There is a printing and heating process involved that takes time.  Rushing this would affect the final quality of the product.

All cases are made and dispatched as quickly as is possible.

I am not happy with the case

We hope that you will be happy with the case, but from time to time there can be issues.

If you are not happy then please contact us to discuss why.

Please be aware as per the condition of sale, you agree to the design, position etc.

Thus we will not be held responsible or offer replacement unless there are fundamental issues with the case that are as a result of production or delivery.

The case has not arrived.

We hope that your case will arrive but loss can occur.

If you do not receive your order within 14 days of dispatch within the UK, then please contact us.

Deliveries outside of the UK will take on average 5-14 days. We do have to allow however up to 25 working days for delivery to take place. If the order has not arrived after this time, then please contact us.

The case arrived damaged

All cases are packaged to protect them as best as possible but to also ensure a timely and cost effective delivery.

If it arrives damaged please contact us to discuss the next steps.

Can I return the case?

Generally returns can not be accepted unless there is an issue with the case such as damage from shipping or an issue with the printing.

If you are not happy with the final case then do contact us with your concerns, but please be aware this could be due to images used and the positioning of items on your case during the design process.

At all times we will endeavour to achieve the best resolution for you.

I received the wrong case, what can I do?

If the case received is wrong then please contact us and we will identify what went wrong and send the correct case as soon as possible.

I don’t like it, can I return it or get a refund?

If you do not like the case that you receive then we can only accept it back if there is a fault with the production or the case itself. For example damage or poor print finish.

The case is custom designed and you agree to the final design, which is shown at the time of order.

If you do not feel happy, please contact us and we will see if the situation can be resolved.
