Dell launches new Alienware 14 gaming laptop

There was a time when an Alienware laptop was out of reach to many gamers simply on the prices of these cool looking machines! But now part of Dell, these laptops are more affordable than ever and the latest addition to the range the Alienware 14 is something very special indeed. There are five models in the range with prices starting from $1,200 to $2,700; the final price could even be higher because as ever, Dell will tempt the buyer with optional extras and upgrades, all of which will provide the buyer with a better level of equipment, while increasing the bottom line with every click!

The basic gaming model comes with a 14 inch screen offering a WLED HD Anti-Glare Display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions. It will be running on the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system and it will be powered by the fourth generation Intel Core i7-4700MQ processor with up to 3.4 GHz and a 6 MB Cache. There is support for the Intel HM87 Express Chipset, while the video graphics come from the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory.

The system memory starts from 8 GB of Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600 MHz and up to 750 GB SATA (7200RPM) hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes. Communications are covered by the Killer Networks Gigabit Ethernet LAN and the Killer 1202 802.11n Wi-Fi LAN. Other features include the three fast connecting USB 3.0 Ports, a single USB 3.0 Port with PowerShare Technology, a Mini-Display Port, a HDMI 1.4 Output, 9 into 1 Media Card Reader and a built in full HD 2.0 mega pixel web camera with dual digital microphones.

As for the size of this machine it measures up at 334.98 mm (W) x 258.35 mm (D) x 40.12 mm (H) and weighs in at a manageable 2.774 kilos with the 6-cell Lithium Ion (69 wHr) battery pack installed. Dell is offering the cool looking Alienware 14 on the company website now with prices starting from around $1,200.
